Southern Splendor was a perfect vacation spot for our family of 16. There was plenty of room for us to gather for meals, playing games or just sitting and visiting with everyone. The patio was great to enjoy morning coffee and relaxing. The property managers were wonderful to work with and were very good about responding to any questions or issues you might have. We all throughly enjoyed our beach vacation!

The community is perfect for all ages and has an amazing pool for little ones. The kitchen was better equipped this year as well as basic cleaning essentials. We were at then end of the season so as expected the upholstery looked like then end of the season as well as the only rug in the house. But I think it was a great week at this lovely home

Our family of 14 stayed in Southern Splendor for 6 nights and it was such a wonderful experience. The home was so spacious yet everyone had their own space to go to! The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need to fix meals and a huge refrigerator/freezer. We loved the deck overlooking the beautiful pool. The home is just a short walk to the beach so very handy. The owners were so kind and quick to reply to a couple small questions we had. We would definitely recommend this home!

This house was a great fit for our family retreat. We stayed with our children and grandchildren. Every room had its own bathroom. Beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. The TV in the main room wasn’t working right but I think it was fixed after we left. I would definitely come back in warmer weather. The pool and beach were very close. It was just too cold for us to spend time in the pool.

Nice house. Everything we needed except a gas grill! Plenty of refrigerator and freezer space. Great deck. Plenty of beds. Furniture, bedspreads, blinds and bathroom door locks needed fixed or replaced. Living room rug and furniture was quite dirty. Maybe a good cleaning more than once a year would be a good idea!

We had 8 adults and 2 two year olds. The home was laid out very well with adequate seating at dinning tables and the main living room. The main porch was a hangout place for us as well. The property is great with just steps to a kid friendly large pool and only a short walk to the beach. If you cook a lot, I would recommend bringing a large pot or two, some storage containers and you will need regular coffee filters or Kcups. Also, we could not find a broom but there was a vacuum.

Southern Splendor is a lovely beach house. The floor plan worked well for our 3 generations and the furnishings are comfortable. We’ve stayed in this development before, so we knew the pool is SO kid friendly and the beach is a short walk away. The owner was prompt in responding when we had an internet glitch; she sent her handyman out right away and he was very helpful. This was a great spot for a one week getaway with our children and grandchildren. Thanks Meagen!!

My first time renting through VRBO and it did not disappoint! The home was immaculate! The rooms were large and each had its own bathroom. The family room and kitchen was large and open. We loved sitting out on the balcony. Direct TV was a plus! Internet a little spotty but not a deal breaker. We definitely enjoyed our family Christmas vacation at the beach and will book again!

My husband and I booked this property for a Covid-safe Christmas and the property is just as bright and clean as described. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need and you are steps away from the ocean. The only issues we had were sleeping arrangements. All of the mattresses were far too soft for our preference. We both sank deeply into the bed and didn’t get much rest. Also it’s tough to regulate the temperature on both floors during the winter. All of the heat seems to rise to the top floor making for hot nights upstairs. Although I’m sure this isn’t an issue during summer months. All in all this was a beautiful home that we would love to stay in again, we will just have to pack a board to put under the mattress next time.

We dodged hurricanes, and were so glad to finallly arrive! Would not hesitate to stay here again. The cottage was immaculate, and close to everything thing we needed. Cottage was very comfortable and close to beautiful beach and pool. Less than 2 minute walk to both. Owners were very open and informative to any questions we had. 5 star, hoping we can stay here again.

This is our second year staying at this house. We love it! It’s so cute and always clean! Meagen is always very helpful with anything you need! We love that this is a gated community and right next to the beach. Our favorite thing about this area is the pool. It’s great for little kids bc is the zero entry. My family of 5 (3 teens) loved this vacation. The house was 5 star clean and served all our needs well. Amazing location for both beach and other activities in the area. The private property this home is located on is well thought out, safe and helped us relax. Our only wish would be that the pool was a bit “cooler” but we know that beach pools get pretty warm on hot summer afternoons. Great place and I HIGHLY recommend it.

This property and it’s owners are just outstanding! The house is absolutely beautiful. The beds were all very comfortable. Everything was very clean. It had everything we needed for cooking and just enjoying each other’s company. The beach and the pool were both a very short walk. Beautiful gated community. It is very close to all the great restaurants and shopping! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be coming back again!
