This motel looks modest, like a property that was kept in good condition while others around it either aged poorly or got replaced by something big and flashy and loud. That's exactly what it is—a clean, comfortable, quiet place in a resort area thick with bright colors and exclamation points, it's a step back in time to affordable lodging. The manager was friendly and engaging. The room had laminate floors instead of carpet, which felt tidy and fresh. Everything about it was clean and functional. We didn't try the pool—not enough time—but it looked lovely. If you don't need a cartoonish theme-park experience all the way into the night, and just want practical and pleasant sleeping quarters, stay here.
