Comfortable place in a great location

This property is perfectly placed between Tours and Saumur for sightseeing, but to be honest we didn't venture far as it was just too tempting in the heat to lounge around and completely relax. Our host Christophe was very welcoming, and seemed to think of everything you would need. You have the run of the quite extensive grounds, with a large pond as the interesting centre piece, and there are loads of loungers and chairs to sit and relax in all over the garden, as well as hammocks in the wood which we had fun trying! The accommodation is simple and uncluttered, but comfortable and quite adequate for our needs; we all slept well which says a lot for the good beds. Would definitely stay here again if coming to this area and would recommend to friends and family.

We thorougly enjoyed our stay at La Marelle. We arrived to find the house spotless and a bottle of St. Nicolas de Bourgueil rosê chilled and ready for us. The location is very quiet and peaceful but within easy travel to the many attractions of the Loire Valley. The gite is very well-equipped. Christophe is a wonderful host, providing much useful information and suggestions. He even delivered a fresh baguette for us early each morning. Highly recommnended.

The house is stylisch, the landlord super friendly and you will enjoy the evening on the terasse close to a little, private lake. If you come with children you may have a problem: Our children wanted to stay every morning in LA MARELLE instead of visiting the Loire Castles. Great place!

Das Haus ist perfekt für 4 Erwachsene und sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und die Kommunikation mit Christophe völlig unkompliziert, es war alles vorbereitet und sogar eine Flasche Wein schon im Kühlschrank. Wir (4 Erwachsene) können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und würden jederzeit gern wieder dort Urlaub machen. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Mille merci a Christophe!

Une semaine dans un beau gîte offrant toutes les commodités. Un grand parc arboré avec salon de jardin. Un environnement riche et culturel mais aussi, bien pensé pour les enfants. Vélo, châteaux, plans d’eau, troglodyte, jardins ( jardin de Mireille à ne pas manquer)... tout à proximité, et surtout des hôtes adorables qui vous conteront l’histoire de la demeure dans laquelle vous séjournez, avec beaucoup de passion. Nos petits enfants et nous mêmes, vous l’aurez compris, avons passé une merveilleuse semaine.

Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Garten ist groß und sehr gepflegt. Das Haus lässt keinen Wunsch offen, die Küche ist voll ausgestattet, Griller vorhanden, und es gab sogar Kaffee, Geschirrspültabs und Waschpulver zur Verfügung gestellt. Es war alles sehr rein. Zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche Wein vom Hausherren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und fast heimisch gefühlt. Einzig das Bett war nicht ganz so bequem wie zu Hause :-)

Tout le confort! Chambres spatieuses, jardin imens! Les propriétaires très sympas. Christophe nous a achete tous les matins du pain et croisssantes + bons conseils pour visiter la region ou se trouvent les plus beaux chateaux de Loire. On reviendra avec grade plaisir. Nous avons eu un accueil fort chaleureux de Christophe & Alyxe.On sent qu'ils ont la passion pour leur gîte et sont a l'écoute de leurs hôtes tout en restant très discrets. Le gîte est parfait ,rien a redire ,tout est nickel ,proche de différents sites touristiques .La bouteille de rosé fût un vrai délice ,merci pour cette gentille attention.On se sent comme chez nous,nous avons fait 2 délicieuses tartes avec les pommes du jardin ,le raison également était très bon.Encore un grand merci à Christophe & Alyxe . Et si nous avons la possibilité de revenir un jour , cela sera non seulement pour le gîte mais surtout pour revoir Christophe & Alyxe afin de partager une bouteille de rosé avec eux.

Habitués à découvrir chaque année une nouvelle région de France avec nos 3 enfants, nous y avons passés nos plus belles vacances. Les nombreuses activités alentours ne manquent pas (visites des Châteaux de la Loire, Zoo de Beauval, Futuroscope, vélo au long de la Loire...). Le gîte de La Marelle est aussi idéalement équipé à l'intérieur (+ les draps et les serviettes fournis !! bien pratique) qu'à l'extérieur (terrasse équipée, grand parc clôturé, étang,...) dans un cadre reposant et bucolique. Enfin, les hôtes, Alyxe et Christophe sont particulièrement sympathiques et accueillants en toute discrétion. Le charme de l'endroit opère instantanément et les vacances commencent dès l'arrivée :) Nous recommandons vivement ce gîte et ses hôtes

Wir haben einen wunderschönen Kurzurlaub in dem geschmackvoll eingerichteten Ferienhaus von Christophe und Alyxe, unseren sympathischen und gastfreundlichen Vermietern, verbracht. Es fehlte wirklich an nichts: Handtücher, Geschirrtücher, Bettwäsche, eine kleine, aber komplett eingerichtete Küche mit ausreichend Geschirr und Besteck, Salz und Pfeffer, Öl und Essig, etc. Ja, sogar eine Flasche Rosé und eine Flasche Apfelsaft standen im Kühlschrank für uns bereit. Das Haus liegt ruhig, umgeben von einem großen Park mit einem kleinen See. Auf der Terrasse fanden wir eine Sitzgruppe, bequeme Liegestühle, einen Grill und einen großen urigen Holztisch vor, so dass man bei schönen Wetter auch draußen essen kann, mit Blick in den Park. In den Betten mit den wirklich guten Matratzen haben wir geschlafen wie die Murmeltiere. Das Ferienhaus liegt etwas außerhalb von Langeais, so dass man unbedingt auf ein Auto angewiesen ist, wenn man die zahlreichen Schlösser, Weinkeller und die nahe gelegene Stadt Tours besichtigen will. Der nächste große Supermarkt (SuperU) war nach etwa 10 Min. Fahrtzeit zu erreichen. Es lohnt sich, Fahrräder mitzubringen, weil es in der Gegend, vor allem an der Loire entlang, inzwischen ein ausgebautes Netz von schönen Fahrradwegen gibt. Wir waren vom 16. bis zum 23 April dort und wir hatten fast jeden Tag Sonne! Ein rundum schöner Urlaub!

Nous venons de passer une semaine dans ce joli gîte de la Marelle où nous avons été particulièrement touchés par l'accueil chaleureux et sincère de Christophe et Alix qui ont été au petit soin avec nous. La bouteille de rosé nous attendait, c'était bien vrai ! Le gîte était conforme à nos attentes, très bien équipé (petite cuisine mais avec tout ce qu'il faut) décoré avec goût, vraiment très propre (produits ménagers bio mis à disposition dans chaque SDB, WC et cuisine), serviettes de bain, literies/couettes de qualité, très confortable. Le coin salon n'est certes pas très grand mais suffisant pour 6 personnes. Le gîte est au calme, avec un très grand jardin qui a fait la joie des enfants qui ont été aussi ravis de jouer avec la gentille chienne Enia et profiter des jeux d'extérieurs mis à leur disposition. Nous avons pu visiter malgré le temps capricieux quelques châteaux, nombreux dans le périmètre et, compter sur les commerces de proximité à moins de 15 min en voiture. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir à la belle saison pour lézarder cette fois ci dans les chaises longues sur la terrasse ou dans les hamacs sous les arbres ! Pourquoi pas le temps d'un week-end car Christophe et Alix font aussi chambres d'hôtes dans leur bâtisse principale.

Bien situada, la zona es preciosa, la casa esta completamente equipada (incluyendo sábanas y toallas de baño) y en perfecto estado, y tiene un jardín inmenso que incluye un lago y un pequeño bosque, jardines, columpios, un cenador, e incluso una ducha al aire libre. Y los propietarios son un encanto, nos ayudaron muchísimo, e hicieron que nuestra estancia resultara de lo mas agradable. ¡Gracias Christophe por el pan y los croissants del desayuno!

Nous avons passés une super semaine dans le gîte de La Marelle. Celui ci est entièrement neuf, très bien équipé et cerise sur le gâteau : les draps et serviettes de toilettes sont fournis. Notre hôte Christophe est charmant et l'accueil très agréable. L'endroit est calme avec des chaises longues, un grand parc, un étang, c'est un havre de paix. Bonjour, Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits en chambres d'hôtes à La Marelle cet été et nous tenons à remercier Alyxe et Christophe pour ce superbe moment. Nous étions trois avec ma femme et notre petite fille de 6 mois. Nous avons logé dans la suite Ardoise (1 chambre adulte, 1 sdB et 1 chambre enfant), totalement rénovée avec parquet massif, pierres apparentes et une décoration parfaite (sobre et élégante). La salle de bain est du niveau d'un grand hôtel, super douche, 2 vasques... Tout est nickel, pas une trace de poussière ou autre... Le cadre est magnifique avec un jardin immense parfaitement entretenu avec quelques tables de pic-nique pour pouvoir en profiter. Quant au petit déjeuner :encore un sans faute ! avec du jus d'orange pressé et des pâtisseries faites maison!! Que des produits frais!! Un régal... Et pour couronner le tout, un accueil très chaleureux, très simple des propriétaires avec proposition d'un petit verre de rosé de Loire frais à notre arrivée. Bref, une étape à ne pas manquer si vous passez dans la région. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter!!! Un super rapport qualité / prix!! Et ils acceptent les chèques vacances...;) Encore merci à vous pour votre accueil! Romane, Marie et Thomas
