Staying here is an unforgettable pleasure, so exciting that you may have to tear yourself away to visit all the sights of northern New Mexico you promised to see on your trip! No worries -- despite its remote location with 365-degree views, Sunlit Hills Art and Views is just 7 miles (10 minutes by car) from the Plaza in the heart of Santa Fe!
From the moment you step inside this house, you know you are in for a treat. Every room is decorated with original artwork, and no matter how long you stay here, you will find yourself discovering a new favorite piece almost every day. Enter the main living room (there is also a den) and find yourself among not only ultra-comfortable leather sofas and chairs, a crackling kiva fireplace, and jaw-dropping views, but also surrounded by sculptures and paintings to enjoy in the changing light from the big New Mexico sky. Your vacation is going to be a very special one.
Instead of exploring the rest of the house, you may find yourself going straight out to the deck from the sliding-glass doors in the living room. Now, there are many outdoor spaces at Sunlit Hills Art and Views, but this deck will probably be your go-to spot first thing in the morning when you are clutching your coffee cup and wondering how you slept so long and so deeply. This property is welcoming, deluxe and extravagant yet comfortable. The artwork both inside and out is as breathtaking as the views from every room and deck. Easy drive to the Plaza. Looking forward to another holiday here in the future.

We had a marvelous time in Santa Fe. We enjoyed time in Santa Fe but could also make day trips to places like Taos and Chimayo. We visited downtown Santa Fe and had some wonderful meals. I highly recommend Las Chozas, Cafe Pasquel's and Backroad Pizza. The house was amazing almost like a museum with such beautiful art and sculptures. The grounds were wonderful to walk around. Would tell anyone this is one of the best places I have ever stayed. If you just want to relax the house and grounds are all you need but if you want a little bit of culture you can have that as well.

Incredible property inside and out! Fantastic well placed art and furniture - well appointed, comfortable, quiet location, great views day and night from inside and out. Great outdoor spaces - would stay here again if in area.

This property is older and tired. That being said it is like putting on a favorite pair of older slippers. It is comfortable. The TV is only cable with few channels so bring your own Apple TV if you want to watch a movie. Same with music...there is a Bose speaker but its the first generation model so being an adapter or your Alexa. The Art around the house and the sculptures all over the property are intriguing and eclectic- it appears that the owners really support local artists! The hot tub was functional and inviting. We were here during the Covid19 shut down and therefore only take out was available so we did cook and the kitchen is functional. I did not like dealing with the property management company that operates this house. Everything communication was negative, not in the least hospitable. The house is located a very short distance out of the center of town with an incredible view and I would recommend it.
