The Valley View Cabins and Event Center

We loved the fruit and veggie garden and campfire area.

This was our second time staying at Valley View. It’s a beautiful location in a beautiful town. Cabins are all modernized, clean, comfortable and quiet. The owners are lovely.

The owner was amazing. Friendly, helpful, and offered us any produce we might want from the garden, in fact she asked if she could get us a box to take tomatoes home with us. The property has beautiful views and is exceptionaly quiet at night. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the room had been upgraded recently. I would definitely stay here again if we were spending time in the area.

We had booked the least expensive cabin thinking it would be fine. We were surprised how tiny it was. Walking space for one person at a time on one side of the bed to go to the washroom, no walking space on the other side. A few feet at the foot of the bed with no room for chairs anywhere, no closet only a couple of wall hooks. Room for one suitcase. A small bathroom. We were fortunate that there had been a cancellation and the owner was very accommodating to let us upgrade for no fee other than the upgrade cost. If a larger unit had not been available we would have moved to another hotel in the area for the rest of our stay even if that would have meant a double charge. The walls between the units don't insulate for sound, which is quite common in older hotels. It would have been nice to have a chair in the room (the room had a couple of benches for the small dining room table). Despite these things it was great value for the money and probably, overall, the nicest place to stay in Creston. We had hoped for nicer restaurants in the area but they were probably as good as could be expected for a small town and the price range of the offerings at the restaurants.

Well maintained and friendly staff.
