El Legado Wine Lodge

The property is beautiful, with a cozy dining room, lovely shop and clean, private rooms.

The accommodation and the grounds are absolutely stunning, and the owners and staff are super friendly and welcoming. The beds are huge and so comfortable, and the bathroom is large and clean with a good shower. Breakfast is delivered the previous evening so it’s great to eat this outside at a time that suits! The food and juices provided were delicious. We loved every moment of our stay and definite highlights were watching the sunset from our roof terrace and the gorgeous lunch and wine tasting. Juan gave us a brief tour of the winery and the family legacy which was really great to learn about. The swimming pool is lovely and we used the bikes for a quick ride around the area. We would highly recommend staying here for a peaceful and relaxing few days.

The bikes could do with a bit of a service but not a major issue!

The room was very nice and comfortable. We were provided with all we needed, from the pool towels, to coffee pods. Breakfast was delivered the previous day, for our convenience, and it was abundant and very good. The bed was super comfy. We also decided to do the tour + tasting of the winery and vineyards, for an extra cost, and Federico and the staff were very nice and helpful, providing us with a vegetarian board to suit our dietary requirements.

It would have been great to enjoy to the max the peaceful surrounding and the quiet area but throughout the night there was a rather loud humming sound in the room, I think caused by the aircon unti in the next door apartment. Also, there were some building works for a new structure nearby (also part of the bodega) and at 7:30 they started noisy works which was a bit of a bummer :( We were also charged 4USD for a small bottle of water, provided in the room, which you would expect to be complementary in a place like this - but nevertheless I would still highly recommend staying here!
