Me gustó absolutamente todo. Empezando por los dueños, amabilísimos, nos permitieron llegar antes y nos dieron consejos sobre la zona. El apartamento es simplemente encantador. Decorado con gusto exqusito y con las comodidades necesarias para pasar unos días geniales. Tener aire acondicionado en cocina/salon y dormitorio es un plus, sobretodo si coincide con este verano tan caluroso incluso en los Paises Bajos, tuvimos algun día de 34°, pero al llegar a la casita el descanso con buena temperatura era excelente. La cama es grande y cómoda. Tanto la habitación como la sala/comedor tienen unas ventanas enormes por las que se puede ver la vegetación del jardín y campo de enfrente. Relax para la vista. Ha sido una semana que nos ha pasado volando y no dudaré en repetir si se presenta la ocasión.

Me gustó todo, solo encontramos a faltar un extractor en el WC de la entrada. O bien que se pudiera abrir la ventana para ventilar.

The welcome was warm. They greeted me on arrival and showed me around, and both the hosts were friendly and accommodating throughout. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the espresso machine (with milk frother) was a genuine treat each morning. The property's location also gave us beautiful walking routes straight out the door, which my dog and I loved.

Edit to clarify discrepancies in their response: The host's reply describes entering only after knocking and receiving no response, with the door happening to be unlocked. That's not what happened. On both occasions, they knocked (or didn't, on the first occasion) and let themselves in with their own key immediately, before I had any chance to respond. I want future guests to have an accurate picture. The fridge hadn't been cleaned out from previous guests, with crumbs left inside, and despite being advertised as a quiet road, there was near constant car, motorbike, and tractor traffic right in front of the house. My main issue, though, was privacy. On day two, the host let herself in with her key while I was on the toilet just inside the door, without knocking. I was shocked and embarrassed. On my last evening, I was told to be prepared for a toilet repair person to come by at any point that evening, but no one showed up. The next morning, with an agreed 11am checkout, both hosts arrived an hour early with the repair person, knocked, and let themselves in with the key before I could answer the door. I was left without access to the toilet for most of my last hour there. When I raised the earlier incident at checkout, the host said she assumed I was out walking the dog. But that doesn't explain why they walked in again, unannounced, less than 24 hours later. I raised the privacy issue directly with the host and with Booking.com afterward. The accommodation declined to offer any refund, standing by the position that entering without permission wasn't a real breach of privacy.
