Lavenia Rose Cottages , Harbour Mist

we LOVED our stay at lavenia rose cottages! the cottages are so sweet and spacious. beautifully done up with everything you need and more. beautiful, private lot (my family and i had both cottages so it was especially private) with a wonderful BBQ /fire pit area and a play area for kids. it was rainy when we stayed and we weren’t even disappointed to have to be inside because it is so cozy. we took full advantage of the couch, fireplace, and tv after traveling long days before we arrived. donna was so nice, checking in with us to make sure we arrived safely and found the cottages okay. she responded immediately when we returned her message. the cottages are perfectly situated so close to bonavista and elliston that we traveled into the towns multiple times. my sister, niece, and i hiked the trail behind the blue cottage to the arch rock. it was a nice little walk 2 minutes up the trail, then turn left at the top to get to the arch rock, about 15 more minutes. would recommend making this little hike. would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, homey space to relax and come back to after a day of traveling/exploring/sightseeing.

one thing that would be nice is AC or some sort of air unit. during our stay we were comfortable (end of june and rainy colder weather), but any later in the summer it would have been hot.

We loved how comfortable and well appointed the cottage was, we felt at home instantly. It was clean and well stocked. There was a fabulous easy/moderate hike right outside the door which we enjoyed thoroughly

Loved the friendliness of the host. He had some great stories and did everything he could to make us feel at home. Location was excellent. Breakfast was great and we met some very interesting people.

Though the bed was wonderfully comfortable, the room was a bit dark and somewhat musty. Difficult for someone with allergies or asthma.
