The Palisander House is a newly built 3 story masterpiece in vibrant East Austin. You’ll have plenty of space to entertain family and friends while enjoying tons of privacy is this 5-bedroom showplace. Venture out to explore the neighborhood bars and restaurants on foot or on one of the many micro-mobility options available in Austin. Or stay in to cook up some steaks on our outdoor grill and sip cocktails on the patio by the firepit. Features a private gym, two offices, and great wifi.

Throughout the house, you will also find a few mid-century modern classics - Saarinen breakfast table, Eames chairs, and the very famous Noguchi coffee table.

You'll have the entire place to yourself. Just 1 mile to downtown and 3 miles to the UT campus.
East Austin is just a short ride away where you’ll find some of the best restaurants and bars in town, and plenty of music!

In compliance with our policies for long term stays, we need to collect a few additional fees from you before guaranteeing this reservation. Please see below and reply here with any questions. Your guest ambassador will reply shortly and be available to assist you where needed.

Additional Cleaning Fee:

We do require additional cleaning fees for guests staying longer than 3 weeks. Your Guest Ambassador will coordinate the cleaning schedule for a minimum of once every 2 weeks. You can request cleanings more frequently if desired. Additional cleaning charges will be sent using a payment request or resolution request, immediately following the cleaning.

Guest Access:
We offer convenient keyless door codes for self-check-in. Portoro Homes uses smart locks with check-in details provided 48 hours prior to arrival by email and text message.

• Early check-ins or late check-outs: If the property happens to be ready earlier than the standard 4 pm check-in time on the day of your arrival, in most cases an early arrival option may be available when confirmed with the main office. Late check-outs must be confirmed with main office staff prior to the date of departure.

The Neighborhood:
The Holly and East Cesar Chavez district, with its industrial-chic brewpubs, craft cocktail lounges and live-music rooms, picks up the pace after dark. Art galleries, vintage boutiques, bike shops and coffee houses mix with Mexican restaurants and BBQ joints. The Tejano Walking Trail honors the neighborhood’s music pioneers, while the Mexican-American Cultural Center stands nearby in the Rainey Street Historic District.

Just down the street are delicious venues like Bufalina Pizza, Launderette, La Barbecue, Oseyo or Kemuri Tatsu-Ya. Other spots include coffee at Lou’s or Flat Track, cold beer at Blue Owl Brewing or East Side Tavern, cocktails at High Noon and so much more.

For breakfast (open at 7:00 am) visit Juan in a Million for Tex-Mex and tacos. Or it’s just a short walk to Gati Coffee, Pastries, and Eats, just down the street offering several homemade, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan pastries (even donuts before 10 am). More recommendations are provided in the guest manual.

Getting Around:
Austin is an easy city to get around without a car in this location! Walk, rent a scooter or bike, easy access to Uber/Lyft. Austin offers plenty of transportation options. Ridesharing, micro-mobility, and mass transit are available everywhere. The airport is just 15 minutes away.

We also provide guests with a full list of recommendations and services. This information can be found in the House Manual upon check-in.

Other Things to Note:
Please pay close attention to following the house rules. Non compliance could result in sizable fines.
- All guests staying at one of our Portoro Homes are required to sign (esignature) a rental agreement and complete identity registration.
- Age restrictions apply. Reservation holder must be 25 years of age.
- All guests must be included on the guest list and not exceed the maximum number stated on the listing.
- Upon arrival, we aim to ensure your safety, proper access to the home, and guest features. ALL guests are required to read the house manual upon arrival. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Portoro.
- Known damages incurred during your stay must be reported to the property manager immediately.
- Before check in, we will send you detailed directions to ensure a seamless arrival.
- Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
- We cannot guarantee early check ins or late checkouts. When it is possible to check in early or check out late, there will be a fee for anything outside of a one hour window within our standard times. If your need for an early check in or late check out is great, your best option is to book an additional night.
- Some homes offer pools/hot tubs. There is no guard around the water features when available. Use at your own risk.
- Some homes have cameras for external monitoring only.
- Stays over 29 days – please inquire separately for terms and conditions.
- HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: Both the City of Austin and the State of Texas requires all hotel and vacation rental hosts to collect hotel tax. We collect these two taxes within the booking transaction. The state requires 6% and the city requires 11%.
- YOU ARE HELPING: A portion of the city hotel tax helps support Austin's musicians and related businesses.
- This home is pet-friendly. Please note, only dogs allowed and 50lb weight limit, up to 2 dogs per stay. $150.00 fee applies, per stay, per pet.
- This is a No Smoking property. Penalty fees for violations will apply and you may be asked to vacate the premises with no refund at the discretion of the Host.
- For the safety of guests and the home, there are noise monitoring devices. These devices only measure the decibel level and do NOT record any audio.

Portoro Homes communicates via email and phone. After a booking is confirmed, rental agreement will be emailed to the guest for e-signature. Check-in instructions are sent by email and text message 48 hours prior to arrival date (keyless entry). We offer convenient keyless entry for self-check with no need to stop in at a local office. We do typically check in with guests by email/text 1-2 times during their stays to ensure a 5-star experience and remain available for any questions/inquiries. We are available to guests 24/7.

We had a company retreat at a nearby hotel but needed a place for additional guests. We selected this property as it was 3/4 of a mile from the other location and still within walking distance to a number of bars and restaurants. The house was very clean when we arrived although we did need to crank the AC down as the house was warm when we got there and took a couple of hours to cool. Everything was as expected. The neighborhood was quite and plenty of free unrestricted parking on the street. One recommendation would be mosquito treatment in the backyard. There were 100s of them flying around making the backyard off limits for the weekend. It has been rainy in Austin this summer but I stood near the grill and saw around 30 just by the grill. Members of our group went out back a few times only to come back in 2 minutes later. Minor negative and only in the review to help the management company address it. Would book again for sure.

as someone who used to live in austin, this is the perfect place to stay for a trip. really close to downtown and bars on east sixth, as well as a bunch of restaurants. driveway and street parking make it easy for cars, and there’s a lot of space. would definitely book again!
