In Between Dreams Summer Getaway...

Nice place to stay

The house was exactly as expected! Kitchen equipped with everything except a colander or maybe I just didn’t see it. We utilized the games in the garage except for ping pong. We used the sandbox, fire pit, and basketball hoop. We had plenty of warm water with good water pressure for 5 adults and 4 kids to bathe/shower. All of the beds were comfy as well. The place was clean with plenty of areas to spread out. There’s a nice selection of games and puzzles. We didn’t use the WI nor the karaoke but it was tempting. I’d definitely stay here again!

Depending on the day of the week, 8-12 of us stayed in this home, ranging in ages from 1 to north of 70. House is perfect for such groups, with multiple rooms of varying sizes, including very large 1st floor bathroom with laundry (both in use througout the week). Very large kitchen with very nice appliances, including a large refrigerator, easily accomodated a number of meals throughout the week. A short 5-minute drive or 10-15 minute walk into the heart of downtown Vermilion, which puts you two blocks from the beach and Lake. Everyone had a great time enjoying every bit of the house, including multiple arcade games inside the house and numerous, "more active" games in the garage (e.g. foosball, air hockey, ping pong, etc.) Home was nicely furnished with towels (for bathing and the beach), and initial "paper" needs. The owners were excellent to work with prior to, and during our stay, including checking in to ensure we were ok when thunderstorms, tornados, and retultant wide-spread power outages swept across nornther Ohio (Vermilion was not impacted as much as those west and east of town were). We are already planning our trip next year and hope to again stay at this house when doing so.

We had a group of 8, which included a 15 year old and a 5mos old and we had a FABULOUS STAY!!! There’s so much room to spread out and relax and the baby always had a quiet place to rest even with a house full of people. They have a spotless home, super clean and stocked with all of the essentials. The temps outside in Vermillion were ridiculously hot but we were nice and cool- upstairs and down. It was a quick 10 minute leisurely walk to all the wonderful downtown shops, boutiques & restaurants and even the beach. We really enjoyed playing board games each evening and watching movies! Having 2 full bathrooms was a huge plus and it was great having the washer and dryer. The backyard was also a relaxing place to hang out. This house is just so perfect for large groups and we can’t wait to stay again next year!!!

We stayed here in vermilion for the first time with some extended family. Short walk to the beach and downtown. We LOVED the fenced in yard and play set for the kids as well as all the extra games and things in the garage. The house was great to accommodate all of us and plenty of space to spread out. We will be back!

I absolutely loved this lovely home away from home! The owners were extremely responsive and answered any questions we had. The whole space was set up for family time together. From the fire pit and pergola out back to the library and game room, there was so much to entertain. It was perfect for our large group of 11. The beach and downtown area are a short walk away. A great time was had by all! Thank you for a dreamy, little getaway.

Cozy house with plenty of space for our extended family of 11. Kids loved the arcade games and garage full of fun stuff. Nice fenced in yard and location close to town and walkable to beach. Fun time for all!

Marty and Bridget are amazing hosts and their house is amazing! I wish we stayed longer. The amenities are outstanding, the location is perfect, it’s clean, well stocked and lots of fun things to do! We will be back!!

Complete kitchen was filthy.

We rented the house to watch the eclipse. It felt much homier than other properties we have stayed at. Clean and short walk to the cute down town and lake. The only thing I would note if you have a large group the fact that the upstairs bathroom is only separated from the master by a curtain makes sharing said bathroom tricky especially at night.

This is our 2nd time at this property due to location and amenities for my 6 and 15 year old. We even changed our vacation dates to get this property for our stay. Highly recommend it especially with kids. Video games, swing set, air hockey, basketball, bikes not to mention everything you need for your stay in the kitchen.

Highly recommend! What a lovely home with plenty of comfortable, cozy rooms to gather with family and friends. Our family of 5 traveled from MD to spend Thanksgiving with family from Lorain and Cleveland. Perfect location for both sides of the family! Everyone loved playing games in the library, watching football in the living room, reacquainting themselves with Pac Man, and preparing dinner in the roomy kitchen. There was even enough room for two younger cousins to have a sleepover in the bunk room! We enjoyed the short walk to town to get coffee and see blustery Lake Erie. Marty and Bridget are terrific hosts and we would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the bikes and activities in the garage. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This house was a gem, perfectly located, close to town, shops, and the beach. Big enough to have family over for a cookout, and just perfect for our party of 5. Lots of entertainment options, games, puzzles, and such. Plenty of space, nice neighborhood, I could not have desired a better location. The owners are responsive, check in was a breeze, everything was perfect! Highly recommend this locaiton to anybody visiting Vermilion!

A quiet neighborhood in close proximity to the Lake! Within walking distance to shops and restaurants! The house was spacious and offered all the comforts of home! Provided something for everyone to enjoy! Property managers were very attentive! Overall very satisfied!

“In Between Dreams Summer Getaway” was just that for our family. From walking to downtown and shopping in the boutique stores to eating at a variety of the local restaurants, our family is dreaming of a time we can come back to savor the summer again at the beaches, Cedar Point, Put-in-Bay and repeat all the relaxing vibes we enjoyed staying here. Kids of all ages will find something to do, even if it’s a rainy day. We found an oasis here in a comfy, family friendly fun space that fit our needs perfectly.

The house wonderful and my family enjoyed the amenities inside of the house. Great location to the beach and downtown area. We plan on visiting again. Our host was amazing answering my questions. Beautiful home and one of the better vacations I’ve had.

Our stay was wonderful. We had all adults staying overnight with our grandchildren visiting. The kids loved all the various games, books and playground. There was some dog droppings we needed to clear out, but overall a great play area. The house was well equipped and plenty of sleeping spaces available. The number of bathrooms made it a challenge and the upstairs bathroom was not very private. Perhaps a door instead of a curtain? Overall experience was great and expectations were very well met. Thank you to our host who was very accommodating and responsive. We very much recommend this home and Vermilion!

This property was great for our family group. Even though we are all grown-ups, we all had great fun with the garage play area - haven't played ping-pong in years, and we had a full-on tournament! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and we enjoyed the short walk to the small, quaint downtown restaurants and ice-cream shop. If you are bringing kids here, they will love it! Hope you get Pac-Man fixed - we elders were looking forward to reliving the 80's, but he's not eating any dots these days. Loved the outside pergola area - a table for dining al fresco would be a great addition. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Very friendly owners! We enjoyed the closeness to lake and down town.

The property was very clean and great for families with kids. The bikes, toys and games at the property kept everyone busy having fun the whole weekend. The short walk/bike to town and the beach were perfect to get outside and back quickly for the kids nap times. The hosts were very easy and responsive to communicate with.

We stayed here to celebrate my son’s graduation from Oberlin. It was lovely to be walking distance to restaurants and the lake. We hosted several of his friends for brunch with our family under the pergola. Very clean, well equipped kitchen, and a first floor bedroom for my 87-year old mother-in-law who joined us at the last minute! Hosts were flexible to allow us to check out late after the graduation.

Bridget was such a wonderful host - she even decorated the home for us to spend our Christmas there! Beds super comfy and we loved all the games, puzzles, and acrcade games. We will stay again when we come back to visit our family that lives locally!

This was an awesome property for families! All the games available were a huge hit - especially the arcade games and games in the garage. Only suggestion would be to add an actual door to the upstairs bathroom connecting to the bedroom. Other than that, it was the perfect property for us. Loved the walkability to downtown!!

Beautiful place to stay with a lot of activities to enjoy as well. Short bike ride to downtown was a bonus!

The owners were fantastic with communication. The house was easy to find and plenty of parking. The house was probably the cleanest house we have ever stayed. It’s location is walkable to downtown but a bit of a distance bit totally walkable. Great location to Jet express and wineries. We had a wonderful time.

It’s easy to be a good host when everything goes right. Great hosts shine when some things go wrong. There were some shortcomings upon arrival, which our hosts had no knowledge of or control over. They were attentive, responsive, apologetic and made things right. The property itself has lots of space and amenities inside and out. It served as ‘home base’ for family and friends to visit us. It’s a nice and quiet neighborhood that is a short drive or bike ride to the lake and downtown Vermilion. Biggest drawback was that the only upstairs bathroom was open to the primary bedroom (no door). There is a door between that bathroom and hallway though. The shower is a bit small and dark. Everyone used the downstairs shower which is large and well lit. All the main contact surfaces were clean (counters, appliances, bathroom fixtures, etc). But some of the out of reach surfaces were dusty (ceiling, fans, curtains). Overall, a great place to stay and to host family and friends during the day.
