Enjoyable stay in a lovely country pub

Warm welcome and a lovely cosy atmosphere. Good choice of beers in the bar and a lovely evening meal. Room was full of character, very creaky floor! Temperature in the room and bathroom was rather high, so we opened windows! Lovely situation by the river, so I imagine it would be much busier in the summer.

Ten minutes drive from the farmers dog which made it a useful base for the activities we wanted to do.

This is a lovely little pub restaurant and the staff are very attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious and the owner managed to book us in last minute. The room was of a good size, clean and full of character.

As it’s a listed building, there’s no sound proofing, meaning that until the pub had closed, it was a little on the noisier side however this didn’t disturb us to much.

Fantastic!!

It was such a beautiful place! Surroundings were gorgeous. The pub was cosy and warm. The whole place was stunning. And the staff were amazing! We didn’t have a main meal in the pub but the food we saw look incredible! We honestly can’t wait to come back again!! But this time stay for longer!! The room was lovely! So clean and the bed was really comfy!!

Fab location in the delightful Cotswolds

Loved the perfect location by the river Windrush! Had a beautiful room with great views! Staff were friendly and yet professional. Bar area cosy if a little noisy. Would have enjoyed the larger restaurant but I understand off season it's not viable.

Very little we visited in January so hotel very quiet in terms of room occupancy and therfore a generally quiet feel especially at breakfast (we were the only couple!) Bar gets busy with locals in the evening. Lots of bathroom toiletries of good quality but no shower gel!

The location and general ambience, the food, the friendliness of the staff. Our room was exceptionally clean and beautifully appointed overlooking the River Windrush

Beautiful building set in stunning surroundings. Perfectly positioned for visiting the Cotswolds.

Unpleasant odour in corridor outside kitchen.. possibly drain issue. Windrush Door lock sticky unable to lock & unlock without challenge. Bath in windrush slippery when used as a shower. Bath mat would be most appropriate for safety. Sensor lights outside of rooms not working which made for difficulty in seeing the path way to the back door of the Inn.

I loved the decoration, everything had a perfect detail it gives you like a peaceful environment, everything was tidy and clean, our room was very nice, spacious with a nice view. The staff was very kind and helpful. Definitely I would like to stay there again.

Fantastic stay at this charming pub in a great location

The room was a good size and decorated very nicely. The breakfast was excellent and cooked fresh to order. We would love to come back again in the Summer.

The only negative was a disturbed nights sleep due to a loud alarm sounding on 2 occasions in the hallway outside our room. We did tell staff on checkout so hopefully this has been sorted.

Loved it all - the pub itself, old with character. Our room was well-appointed and clean with a good-sized bathroom, good shower and comfortable bed. Food was very good. The staff helpful and friendly.

Comfortable stay for a countryside walking trip

Comfortable overnight stay in a beautiful part of the country. Nice pub supper in the evening & good breakfast the following morning. Friendly staff. Generous bathroom.

The plumbing made a tapping sound that disturbed our sleep a little. Cooked breakfast wasn’t included in the price of our room & we had to pay extra. Ok if you only wanted something light to eat but for the price of the room, I’d expect a-bit more.

Lovely old unspoilt country pub next to a small river. Picturesque. Room was large and clean having been freshly renovated to a high standard. Shower and toilet were also new. Everything you could need was provided. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Plenty of car parking space. Friendly helpful staff.

Gorgeous little pub for a weekend away!

Gorgeous setting, great food, and our room “windrush” was clean, roomy and had a gorgeous view.

Great cosy & welcoming stay!

The upgrade of room to the Windrush was a good choice. Spacious, clean, and with a view of the stream and trees was lovely. The pub was also really cosy. Great real ale and food delicious 😋 Terence & Andrea were particularly welcoming and made our stay extra special. They couldn't do enough for you 🥰 xx

The only slight criticism is that the mattress was a bit hard, and you could feel the springs a little.

The pub is situated in a lovely tranquil spot by the river. The lady who checked me in was very friendly and made sure I had all the information I needed. The breakfast was fine.

This was the perfect choice for a Cotswolds getaway.

Wonderful location for “getting away” and also for exploring the Cotswolds. Charming and comfortable room. We loved the dining room by the stream. Plenty of parking.

Great location with good food, perfect when small inconveniences are fixed.

Check-in process was very smooth and the room was very nice. Restaurant served great food for a good price.

The mattrass in our room was terrible!! we had to put the pillows on top of the mattrass to compensate for the dents and enjoy somewhat of a horizontal position in the bed. The bathroom looked great, but it became a bit tricky to get in and out of the bath in which you had to stand to use the shower. As the bath is on a raised surface under a lowered ceiling, the room to stand is insufficient if you are larger than 1,70 meter. For shorter people getting out of the bath after using the shower is risky due to being wet, the distance to the low floor and the ledge of the bath (high risk of falling or hurting body parts)

A lovely setting in a Cotswolds pub by the river. Room was fairly small but very nice. Flowers a nice touch. Comfy bed. Nice continental breakfast in the morning.

Nothing to complain about. For pub accommodation it was good!!
