Koutouki home!

Host was extremely welcoming and helpful, location is unbeatable and clean.

The stairs in the apartment aren’t really safe and would not recommend if you have kids.

Lovely place to stay with everything you need in the apartment. Very central and still quiet. And the food and service in the Koutuki restaurant just across the street is so amazing that we went there every evening during our stay in Argostoli.

The owner had left some sweet for us that was a nice touch. This apartment is central, you are literally few steps from the square. Considering how close it is to the center it was surprisingly quite, not too noisy. It was nice to have all the home comforts, the washing mashing and oven/hob came very handy as after few s week of travelling eating out was not an option. We washed 6 loads of clothes that dryer within hours of being put on the clothes rack. it was plenty of storage cupboards upstairs and downstairs. it was nice that the cleaner came to change our sheets and towels and mopped the floor on the 3 day of our 6 day stay. We very much enjoyed our stay it was convenient location and offered all we needed for our short stay in Kefalonia.

It is not that we did not like it, but as advise maybe install two air conditioning units one for the upstairs bed room and one for downstairs leaving room. I think the batteries were not working I think as we couldn’t control the temperature nor the fan nor change the mode. We worked a way to get both spaces cool, the place was very hot as directly above a restaurant, so very hot. The water in the shower was intermittently hot and cold and very poor pressure, and maybe the grouting in the shower cubical in need of attention. The bed was extremely squeaky and small, my husband is 6’1” and his feet were hanging off the bed. Every time we turned it sounded as if the bed was breaking and about to collapse. Another suggestion to keep the upstairs door shut passed the restaurant toilets to stop heat from travelling up from the restaurant and also cut out the hand air dryer noise. Few more utensils, a broom and mop would be handy. Maybe a map of the city or some info in how to get about will be nice to have.

Very good location of the apartment: close to the bus stop and the main square. Even though there are many restaurants nearby, it was quiet- there are solid shutters. The apartment is equipped with the necessary things, including a washing machine and iron. There is also an air conditioning and a small balcony. Very good contact with the owner and her family. They are very friendly and helpful people! Everything was really great! Perhaps winding stairs leading to the second floor may be a problem for someone.
