The Mermaid - Serifos

Niki is an amazing host and her place in Choras village has everything in its upcycled vintage decor; clean compact 25 sq m size , accommodating a couple perfectly with kitchenette, en-suite shower, double bed. gorgeous panoramic sea view seating from roof top, naturally shaded in the evenings. Calming quiet idyllic remote village vibe holiday residence, with little shops and handful of restaurants conveniently nearby for coffee, drinks, food. Natural breeze through most of our nearly 2 week stay, so no AC needed. convenient also to be able to do our own laundry. Access to beaches easiest with a car in about 20 minutes on average. we felt we had a personalised experience on Serifos island thanks to Niki’s warmth and generosity. good wifi connection.

An elegant merging of the old with the new, the mermaid house was all we could dream of. The little house has a special healing energy and is close to everything you need. In two minutes you're in the market close by , buying the spaghetti you'll cook by the kitchen window, that gives you a majestic view of the rocky landscape and the wild sea, while knowing that soon you'll be enjoying your dinner on the rooftop while watching the sunset. Quite priceless. It's exactly what we needed to take our minds off of the urban noise and connect to nature again while at the same time having all the comforts. Niki is a very good host, always willing to help and providing all the information you need. So grateful for this experience!

Placed right in the heart of Serifos. Host very kind, helpful and welcoming. Clean facility.Would definitely recommend it!

- located right in the center of chora - decorated very well - clean - sea view (also for sunrise ☀️)

- the owner lives in Canada so if you have any questions, half of the day you can’t reach her because it’s night in Canada (especial at the normal check in time…) - for this case there is the mobile number from the mum of the owner, I write her at 8 a.m in the morning and she read my message 30 minutes after midnight…so more than 16 hours later…sorry but this is to long and not professional - no personal meet at the check in…on every other apartment in our holidays on the Kyklade islands there was somebody to show us the apartment, explain how everything works etc. The owner tell us that her family lives on the island, why there is nobody to say hello? - the owner send us only the information about the house (code for the keys etc) at the time of booking, so in our case 3 month ago…so we didn’t find the right message after this long time and can’t go inside the house because we didn’t know the code…after a few hours we solved the problem with the owner (this was also our mistake but if we can reached somebody we had solved this problem directly and not after a few hours) - the terrace is complete in the sun, there is no shadow and it is not private, everybody who walks on the small street along the house can see everything - To conclude, the price-performance ratio in our opinion is not good enough, you pay a lot of money for a very small house without personell service
