The house is nice, new, clean, as advertised.... which made it pretty easy to feel at home there. But, we had a few problems that would likely lead us to choose another property for our next trip. 1) We couldn't control the temperature of the main floor of the house, and it was way too warm at times, uncomfortably so. It was explained that unless you rent the whole house, you won't have access to the bottom floor where the thermostat is. This wasn't good, and the property manager was vague about getting it fixed. This drawback was not something we knew about ahead of time. 2) One of the bedrooms had window shades that could not be closed. It was weird, and there was a remote control next to the blinds as if it were supposed to be automatically controlled, but it didn't work. When we messaged the property manager we got no response, which was frustrating. 3) The internet was good enough to watch netflix, but apparently wasn't stable enough to play Roblox reliably, which was frustrating to our child. Though perhaps this is typical of Starlink service in mountain towns. 4) When we were arriving the property manager explained that she had to wash one of the white comforters twice, and as a result it was still in the dryer. That was no big deal, we ran the dryer a few more times to dry it out. But what was unpleasant was that the blanket had a red/brown stain on it.... that was not cool. With a rental property, if you're going to give guests white blankets, make sure you have a backup plan for when one becomes stained.
