About this house rental
Nestled in a quiet and wooded original lake neighborhood on the west wide of Deep Creek Lake, our home “Lake View Escape” is a perfect spot for your relaxing year round retreat. Our spacious property includes plenty of (flat) off street parking, a large deck with a hot tub/grill/picnic table, a great back yard to spread out in, and a fire pit with plenty of outdoor seating.
You will take a very brief stroll from the back deck down to the lake where you will find a sandy beach, dock, and an amazing kid friendly swimming area. Our kids and dogs love swimming in the shallow cove, swimming across to the other nearby shore, and setting up imaginary worlds all around the beach area.
Your guests will immediately feel at home inside our home where there is a cozy living room with a wood stove, a large kitchen and adjacent dining area, a sunroom for lazy book reading in the mountain air or watching a movie, as well as the three bedrooms (5 beds), and two full baths with showers.
We are located 15-20 minutes from most of the deep creek attractions including The Wisp, Swallow Falls, Deep Creek State Park, white water rafting, area golf courses, and McHenry, Maryland.
Most of our guests plan to return again due to the very special connection with our home and property - we hope you come stay with us soon!
Please note that the DNR adjusts the lake depth throughout the year, outside of our control, so the water depth at the dock varies, please check and also be aware if parking a boat at the dock in low water. The dock is removed from the water in October based on lake rules. The boat dock is an amenity that is subject to weather conditions, water levels, and other natural factors.
Pending availability, we offer an early check in of 1:00 PM and/or a late check out of 12:00 PM for a fee. Please message after booking if this is requested (this must be advance planned).
The family dogs are allowed with a small kennel provided in the home. There is a pet fee per reservation that needs to be selected at checkout, this includes two dogs max, additional dogs need to be discussed and would require additional fee if approved.
We have both a woodstove and firepit with firewood provided. A 4x4 is recommended in the winter.

Matt was very helpful and communicative starting before our trip, and provided lots of useful information to make our stay an enjoyable one. The house was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the setting is beautiful right on the lake with lots of activities nearby, even though it was just after the end of the summer season and pretty quiet in the area.

What an amazing property! We couldn't have been happier with our stay and can't wait to come back. The host was extremely communicative and helpful, the property had everything we needed for a family of 5 (2 adults 3 kids under 7) and a dog.
