All excellent, could not of wished for a better accomadation

We genuinely felt like we'd struck gold with this holiday. The apartment couldn't have been better - facilities and location - and neither could our host Gabby. Gabby met us with keys on arrival but had been hugely helpful even before then, sorting our airport transfer, allowing us to check-in early and sending information about things we might like to do in the area. That hospitality continued throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Gabby who went over and above to make sure we had the best holiday possible, including providing a quick tour of the town at the start, to introduce us to all the key venues and people. The apartment itself was fabulous. Occupying the top two floors of Gabby's historic family home in the approach to the main part of Fiskardo's harbour, the interior is very comfortable and well equipped (from extensive kitchen equipment, quality washing machine (with washing liquid and conditioner), effective air conditioning upstairs and down, and even to plug-in insect repellent devices for bedrooms (complete with refill tablets). However, the best aspect of this property has to be its location, exceptionally close to the harbour (2mins walk to shops, restaurants and bars) offering great views of it as well as beyond, to the neighbouring island of Ithaki. Making the most of the location, the apartment's extensive balcony has to be THE BEST in town. With a large table and chairs as well as sun loungers, you could spend your whole time (though please don't because the rest of the sights are great!) just 'people and yacht watching' with a backdrop to die for. Finally, although we hadn't planned on hiring a car, I'm glad we did for the middle 5 days. It was relatively cheap and easy to arrange in Fiskardo, parking was always available very near the apartment, and we'd have missed some fantastic sights on the island (e.g. Assos, Myrtos Beach, Caves around Sami, etc) if we hadn't bothered.

Of course it would be great if the local beaches (there is one just 5 mins walk away and another about 20 mins walk) were sand rather than pebbles/rocks, but that is easily taken care of with beach shoes and then the sea is fabulous (the amount of salt means you hardly even need to move to stay afloat) for a relaxing cool down.

Wonderful location with great views over the entrance to Fiskardo harbour. Restaurants, shops (including supermarket), beaches and activities all very close. Parking not a problem either.

All good. Any problems we had were quickly resolved by our host.

Perfect position in Fiskardo. Spacious terrace and two storied house with everything thought of for guests comfort. Host was thoughtful, friendly and had genuine concern that her guests were happy.

Would be very difficult to come up with anything negative!
