Elements Of Goulburn

Great location, comfy furniture, snuggly bed, excellent kitchen equipment AND a washing machine and clothes line with a peg basket, so perfect for our needs. The whole location felt like home with lots of homey touches.

TV sound was a bit sharp, small issue. We have our own coffee machine but I am sure other guests would appreciate a machine.

The house is in a great spot within walking distance to the Main Street and there is off street parking. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the electric blanket. Great kitchen facilities for self catering.

The tiles in the bathroom shower were a little slippery when wet, so a hand rail would be helpful.

Location is great, essential - the interior, and facilities is exactly what you need, did not lack anything required in a cold night at Goulburn with great triple gas heater, electric blankets, salt, pepper, utensiles, everything you need to make a home cooked meal if that is what you wish to do, watch some TV comfortably, bed was comfy.

Communication needs a lot of work - admittedly without dispute, I had incorrected entered the date of arrival a day incorrectly (a day earlier), within minutes of noticing I attempted to contact the host via the contact number provided, no answer, left a voice mail and a SMS, no response, the following day attempted to call the number again, no response, eventually tried an alternative number that was not the primary, and received contact. I called Booking.com as advised to change the date, Booking.com sent an email to the host to confirm change, the email to the host wasn't found as it went to an email address they didn't think to check, eventually sorting it out by a simple switch of date without additional fees which I command, because I would have absolutely paid seemingly it was my fault, but the poor communication didn't stop there - during our stay, we were advised that the following day, no hot water from 8.30am due to maintenance for 6-hours, to our surprise it was a a complete blackout of electricity, so no hot water, no electricity, no heater, nothing. We ended up leaving shortly after, there is no signage to the property which makes it difficult to find considering Google Maps, Waze takes you to a different back street (again, could be fixed with some basic communication, instructions). Has huge potential, but just these small things over and over again was just unnecessary, the booking error for example is something that would be extremely common, it shouldn't take 5 phone calls, 2 voicemails, two calls to booking.com, two mobile numbers, and a missed email to fix. Electricity? Well, couldn't be prevented but would have been great to know - was advised it was the entire neighborhood, it wasn't, just a few properties, including the place we stayed.
