About this house rental
Come relax and play at Longview Lodge on the beautiful Grand Lake O' The Cherokees! Newly built in 2020, this modern and beautifully furnished five bedroom, 3.5 bath home sits on one acre and has everything you need to enjoy your next perfect family vacation including an incredible fire pit, enormous patio with multiple seating and dining areas, a screened in porch and private 16 foot swim spa!
As you drive up to the property, you'll be amazed at the beautiful lakeviews not only surrounding the house but through the expertly designed large transom windows on either side of the door! The gorgeous living room with a 65 inch Smart TV opens up to a fully equipped kitchen with quartz countertops and seating for 17 between the two large islands and dining table. The fun starts quickly, as a game room adjoins the kitchen, featuring a pool table, another TV to enjoy the game, and a wet bar with a second full size refrigerator, sink, wine storage, and cabinets stocked with card and board games!
Enjoy one level living, as all five bedrooms are on the main floor. The master king suite with an incredible large bathroom and closet has direct access to the adorable screened in porch, TV with Roku and DVD Player, and a daybed for additional sleeping. Across the hall is the first of two bunk rooms (Twin XL over Queen), a full size laundry room, and a half bath.
On the other side of the home you'll find another king suite, a third king bedroom, full bath, and the amazing built in bunk room with four full size bunkbeds!
The upstairs bonus room includes a Pop-a-shot basketball game, Air Hockey/Ping Pong table, Xbox 360, and queen sofa sleeper!

This property accommodated our large group of friends really nicely. It was well spread out and we had lots of room to be comfortable. All the games were awesome for the kids, pool table air hockey, etc. The fire pit was really nice and the host allowed us to set off fireworks which was perfect. It sounds like the area just experienced some record rain which is of course outside all control however the shoreline was covered with huge branches and full trees which made accessing the lake from the property near impossible. The host didn't mention this to us beforehand which was a disappointment to us. When we arrived and set up to grill we found the propane tank empty. We were reimbursed for the cost to fill it and the host was quick to respond. The sheets on the pull out couch upstairs were not clean so had to wash them. Probably because of the rain the the bugs were very intense which made using the patio not overly enjoyable so having the screened in patio was a better option for us. The beds were mostly comfortable with the exception of the bunk rooms. My kids did two nights in there and then opted for the floor afterwards. The kitchen had what was needed to cook which was nice. Having two refrigerators for a large group was great.This property is close to a boat launch so it wasn't too cumbersome but we decided that overall for our next lake vacation that we'll opt for a place with a boat dock for ease of shore access, swimming and boating.

The property is really pretty and has amazing views of the lake. It comfortably housed my family of six and had all the things we needed to have a fun weekend. The only downsides were that there was a pretty significant bug problem inside and out of the house. Outside, we counted a huge number of wasps and hornets. There were old nests under the outdoor seats, and active ones within the roof above the patio. There must have been five active wasp nests around the front and back entrances. There was were spider webs covering most of the front door when we arrived, plus webs all over the back patio. Pretty much all outdoor furniture was covered in insects. There were also no screens to the back doors, so each time opened the doors to the backyard, several insects got in. Inside the house, there were cob webs on many of the ceiling light fixtures and around the coffee table. Hopefully, there can be more frequent and thorough pest control, because it really is a lovely house. Lastly, more annoying than anything, but many of the soap dispensers had water mixed with the soap to possibly make the soap last longer. We could see clear lines where the soap and water separated, so we know weren't imagining anything.
