I liked the location, the availability of a laundry facilities, the ease of obtaining clean towels every day, and the daily breakfast delivery. We enjoyed being close the city center, the main bus terminal, and near the hospital.

All of the batteries in the room were dead. The large clock in the kitchen didn't work, and the batteries to the television were dead. Useless. I would also provide a variety of fruit. For 10 days we received apples every morning. Sometimes the cheese and jam were included in the breakfast, sometimes it wasn't. Recommend offering pears, oranges, kiwi or other fruit for breakfast.

We used this as a base to do day trips from Reykjavik for a few days after arriving in Iceland, before heading out along the South Coast to continue our vacation. For that, it was close to ideal, but I probably wouldn't plan an entire Iceland trip around this location. Easy to access by car from the airport (either airport), and relatively central location. Can walk to the center of town (20 mins), but driving there is still probably easier. Petrol station across the street is very convenient. Host left us little goody bags upon arrival, which was very appreciated. Communication was via messages and notes, which were clear. Check-in/-out was straightforward. Large kitchen area and full-size fridge for making meals, which helps to save money in Iceland.

Building is a bit shabby, and apartment seems dated. Location is convenient, but lacks character. A fine place to come back to after a day out, but not a place to listen to the wind. Parking is limited: street parking right in front of building, first come, first served. Lots of turnover during the day, so spaces open, but at night it can fill. Kitchen could use more utensils, we had to be creative making meals. We asked for a cot, which was barely functional for an adult and collapsed a few times; still, it allowed four to sleep in separate beds, so I'll take it. It's part of a series of multi-unit buildings right next to the city airport and just off the highway, but noise was more from foot traffic (neighbors coming in and out) than from vehicle traffic. Noise wasn't bad, but it's definitely urban.

Overall property was clean and modern apart from the bathroom. Bathroom tiles need fresh grout because it was mouldy.

Lack of storage space. There was no wardrobe, drawers or any shelves. A microwave should be provided.

Good location about 15 minutes walk from the center. Parking was easy (although the accommodation misleadingly says that parking is included while it is only street parking).

Most importantly it was not clean. The shower had mold. The room was not prepared for four people as booked.
