Great hot tub but barking dogs.

The hot tub was amazing. The kitchen was clean, lovely touches with basic supplies, cookies and prosecco. All mod cons available. The property was clean and comfortable.

The cottage was next to kennels. Dogs barked sporadically through the day and night. It was really hot at night but we couldn't have the windows open due to a dog barking, no fans so it was very hot. The dogs started barking at 6.30am.

Absolutely amazing with luxury hot tub .

Exceptional stay here at the cottage . This is the 2nd time we have been in the last 3 months . Hosts are so helpful and really lovely family . You don’t need anything jusy your clothes as this cottage has everything you need like home from home . It’s our favourite wee special place now and can’t see by it now . We will be back definitely. Our frenchie fury loves it aswell and gets spoiled . Hamper on arrival either loads goodies so thoughtful thanks Ann and Chris for our stay x

We had a lovely time!

The hot tub was lovely, well equipt i.e towels, kitchen utensils etc. Had everything we needed. Also was a lovely addition for the welcome package with snacks, tea, coffee, milk, orange juice and sparkling wine. Anne was a genuine, delight throughout always making sure we were comfortable

We had a fantastic stay

The cottage was amazing. It was like a home from home and had everything we needed. When we arrived there was a lovely welcome pack for us, which was a thoughtful touch. The location was perfect and the hot tub was a fantastic way to relax. Ann and Chris were amazing hosts and thought of everything.

My best vacation rental experience ever with the best host ever!

This cottage could not have been better. The host is a wonderful and helpful person who goes out of her way to be accommodating. Check-in was a breeze, there's plenty of parking, it's very private, and we were able to bring our 2 corgis as well. The dogs loved the back garden for running around, and we loved it because of the hot tub! The cottage itself is perfectly cleaned in between guests, and they keep it well stocked with everything you need (even some goodies when you arrive). Location-wise, it's very close to everything you need in Coatbridge, and only about 5-7 minutes away from the retail park. I seriously can't say enough good about the host; she truly made our lives easier and is so kind. We're moving nearby, but I'd still love to come and stay at the cottage again. Truly awesome!

Weekend break

Ann and her husband, where fantastic hosts made sure you had everything you needed, went over the hot tub with us, and the kids could make as much noise as they wanted. We also took the dogs, and honestly, we had the best weekend... highly recommend..... we will definitely be back . We where greeted with a welcome tray full of wonderful things , which was a beautiful touch ..

Perfect dog friendly property with charming host.

Clean, suited our needs, excellent bathroom with lovely shower. Easy to live in and comfortable bed. We looked forward to returning to the property at the end of our day. Very friendly and accommodating host who made us and our dogs feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

Abysmal! Rude owners, nonsensical rules, made to feel uncomfortable and sub-standard accommodation.

Welcome basket, accepts dogs, closest property to Edinburgh left available during the Fringe. And that’s about it.

We were rudely told our two friends couldn’t come over to the independent property for a catch up, or stay the night. Despite there being no up front warning or rule against this. And there are a LOT of rules. About 20 just for using the hot tub. Further, there are 2x spare futon beds, spare bedding, 6x all crockery, 6x cocktail glasses, 6x wine glasses, a 6 person hot tub and ample space inside and out. How are you supposed to know people aren’t allowed to come over? Despite flying in from Australia and driving over from Edinburgh, our friends were told to leave immediately. We had to abandon the accommodation, drive back to Edinburgh and all stay at a friend’s top floor 1-bed flat with our dog. Very inconvenient and we were made to feel like criminals for even considering it was ok. The owners couldn’t have been ruder. Very uncomfortable after that and on our last night there. Especially for my anxious wife. If we had an option we would not have returned. Also the property adjoins dog kennels. Dogs howling/crying almost 24/7. This certainly wasn’t in the upfront information. Lots of people turning up for this too. The property is also next to the owners’ house and feels like you are being surveilled all the time. Especially with the owners coming over twice a day to check, walking up to the kennels every 5 minutes, and the locked electric gates with cctv. Surrounding fields are rented out to keep horses. No real boundary fences though, and so dogs could just run into the fields. Kitchen missing items, and no blinds on the window or front patio doors meaning even less privacy. No curtains in the bedroom, just cheap old office blinds which didn’t close properly, meaning lots of light in the morning. The wider area is not especially nice, and you need a car to get to the property. Too many other negative things to remember/list. All in all, one of the worst accommodations I’ve ever stayed in, which is saying a lot.

The property is well appointed with a very comfortable bed. The cottage was well laid out with a spacious feel to it . The hosts were always close if you needed help.We found texting got the required answer . The cottage is located near working dog kennels and you could definitely tell when meal times were . The garden area was (sensibly) Astro turf especially as the impressive hot tub and the whole garden area is designed for lazy days or later night cocktails ( please use plastic glasses provided) near the hot tub!!!). We will be going again one day as it’s location in the area excellent . We chose this cottage randomly as we needed to be near Hamilton to enable two 90year old to stay together in town and we visited. Also we have a dog so the woodland walks were great. Book with confidence if you want a country side dog friendly well appointed cottage

Loved the Cottage and the hot tub. Everything was included and thought off we didnt need to take any extras whatsoever. Owners are absolutely lovely. We appreciated our welcome hamper so thoughtful x

Disappointed it was right next to dog kennels (i didnt realise when booking it) sadly barking started around 5am and continued throughout the day. No privacy in kitchen as patio doors had no blind and we knew there was dog walkers going past every so often. That was the only downfall for us as we just wanted a peaceful base.

Excellent stay in a lovely location, everything catered for and dog friendly

Private property with enclosed back garden for our dogs. Lovely location close to the town of Coatbridge - less than 3 miles away which has plenty shops, bars and food places. Lots of dog walks close by and Glasgow and Livinston Outlet shopping were less than half an hour away. Lovely big, well maintained hot tub for relaxing in. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom, didn't want for anything and Ann was a lovely host

There is dog boarding kennels close by but being dog owners we didn't mind

Very clean, well-equipped, high water pressure for a great shower. Smart TV. Fab hot-tub with integral Wi-Fi sound system. On a farm, so it’s secure with safe parking at house , far from main road. Lovely welcoming pack with wine, biscuits, bread, milk etc. Owner kindly lent me an HDMI cable as I had forgotten mine. Deer and horses in adjacent fields.
