Onar Villa Kolympia

This is a lovely villa and although it is in the centre of Kolympia it is private and peaceful. The owner, Panagiotis, is friendly and very helpful. He was always available to answer any questions we had. I’m not sure the details on Booking.com quite do it justice. It is on the main street and within a few steps of supermarkets, shops and restaurants. It’s also quite a short walk to the various beaches around the town. The villa is clean and comfortable and has all the facilities needed, including dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, microwave and BBQ. The filter cold water tap is particularly helpful, meaning we didn’t have to keep buying bottled water. There are also hair dryers, plug in insect repellents, an iron and ironing board. There are three double bedrooms, with comfortable beds, two bathrooms and an extra toilet. There are plenty of towels. Each bedroom and the living room has air conditioning. The separate bedroom also had it’s own fridge which I thought was a really good addition. The outside area has a number of seating options and it’s easy for everyone to sit comfortably in the shade, the sun or around the table. The pool is just the right size to play and swim in, and was kept spotlessly clean. We would recommend hiring a car, as taxis are very expensive, but Panagiotis can help with a reliable and reasonably priced private hire taxi if you don’t hire a car. We would definitely recommend this villa for a comfortable, relaxing holiday.

I have no complaints about the villa.

We loved our stay at Villa Onar! It's true what everyone says, and the villa is very peaceful despite being right off the main street. The outdoor area is spacious and there was always a shady spot throughout the day which was good when it was hot. The kitchen is well equipped and we loved the filtered water tap so we didn't have to buy lots of bottles of water. The third bedroom is accessed from the garden which worked well so the grandparents weren't woken up early by our kids! We didn't have a rental car but we could walk to two main beaches which we loved. There is a bus you can get to Lindos or Rhodes town and also places to rent a car 2 minutes from the villa very easily which we did on one day to explore the island more.

The two bedrooms in the main villa have raised beds but it does mean that it is quite uncomfortable getting in and out of them as essentially it's like a mattress on the floor but they were still comfortable to sleep on.

Villa was amazing, as we expected! It has everything, what you might need for a family vacation. We used kitchen (which has everything for cooking food at home), grilling space, swimming pool and sunbathing space. Villa has a super cool "Bali vibe" (sometimes you might forget where you are, in Bali or in Rhodes :)) Panagiotis is amazing and hospitable host, who took care of us during the staying (he met us, showed around, treated with local wine and fruits, provided some recommendations for restaurants). He also helped us to find a car for 7 people to travel around the island for a good price.
