We really enjoyed our stay at Almost Heaven Cabin 1! Our group included our family of four (with two teenagers) as well as Grandpa and Grandma in their 70s, and there truly was something for everyone.The property is beautiful, and we especially loved the animals. Our visits from the two resident dogs, Lola and Bobo, were a highlight, as were the sweet kittens that stopped by. My son didn't have much luck fishing, but it was still a fun experience to spend time at the pond.When we arrived, we had an issue with the front door, but the owners responded quickly and had it fixed right away, which we really appreciated.The only “negative” is that the cabin wasn't quite as well stocked as we've experienced at other vacation rentals. The kitchen had the basics, but we found ourselves wishing for a few additional items, such as larger mixing or serving bowls, a larger frying pan, and a few more utensils (we had one butter knife). Consumable supplies were also fairly limited—we were provided with the garbage bag already in the trash can, three dishwasher pods, and the paper towels that were on the holder, with no extras—so we ended up running out during our stay. The bath towels were functional but could use an update, and one bathroom was missing a bath mat.None of these things took away from our enjoyment of the trip, and we were able to make do. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, loved the peaceful setting, and would happily recommend Almost Heaven Cabin 1 to anyone looking

Having a petting zoo in the backyard is an absolute dream come true for kids! One goat got out and followed us around. My daughter fell in love with the goat, and spent so much time outside! We had so much fun here!

Can’t speak to the heat, but the cooling system is wonderful! The heat index was 110-degrees during our stay. The cool cabin was a welcome reprieve from the heat! Our kids loved playing with the farm animals, especially the dogs that came to visit. The cabin is clean and comfortable. The kitchen has all the utensils, pots, and pans you need if you’re eating in. It really had everything we needed for a beautiful, private home-base from which to explore the surrounding area.
