Cute , comfy , close to town centre

Was sent thte key code via email. Box was easy to find. Greeting postcard from the hosts on the table with their contact numbers (not needed). Bottle of wine and milk in the fridge supplied by the hosts. Would definitely use again.

Perfect location, home from home, very clean

Location was good. Easy to walk into town and to Stone Bay and Viking Bay. Bathroom and kitchen were clean. The shower was good and there was plenty of hot water.

We have stayed in lots of different properties in Broadstairs and Fisherman's Rest does not meet the standards of other properties and is not 4 Star as described by Cottages.com. The photos were obviously taken a number of years ago. The garden is not maintained, There are weeds all over the patio area and I had to clean the garden furniture before use. A BBQ is mentioned in the description of the property but the only BBQ in the garden was old and dirty. In the lounge the furniture is marked and there are stains on the sofa. The ornaments, random pictures and old TV make the lounge feel old fashioned and cluttered. There was a rusty wastepaper bin in the lounge which we moved to the kitchen. In one of the bedrooms the white bed frame has marks and needs a good clean. The window for that bedroom overlooks the bins for the property and the flat upstairs. In the other bedroom the pine furniture has stains and one of the blinds is partly broken. The pillows were very poor quality. Overall the bedrooms need a deep clean. The kitchen is in the basement and is accessed via steep stairs which were awkward. The kitchen felt damp even in June.
