Welcome to No. 11
A detached vacation home with a private garden in a quiet location, just an 8-minute walk from the beautiful Schillig Beach.
It was newly renovated in early 2026, including new mattresses, comforters, and pillows, and its lovingly furnished rooms can accommodate up to 5 people.
The cozy cottage “No. 11” features 2 bedrooms (Bedroom 1: 1 double bed, 1.80 m x 2 m; Bedroom 2: 2 single beds, 0.90 m x 2 m), a living room with a sleeper sofa (1.44 m x 1.99 m),a TV nook, and an integrated dining area, a fully equipped kitchen (electric stove with 4 ceramic burners, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, Senseo coffee maker), and a bathroom with a comfortable shower, toilet, and sink. All rooms have exterior roller shades and can be completely darkened.
The garden and terrace are perfect for playing and relaxing, and when the weather is nice, they offer the opportunity to enjoy cozy meals outdoors. The small garden shed contains outdoor furniture and a parasol, which you’re welcome to use. The house has free Wi-Fi.
You’ll need to bring your own bed linens and towels.
The ideal place to stay for a relaxing vacation on the expansive sandy beach, right next to the Wadden Sea, an UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.
Numerous recreational activities are available nearby, such as guided mudflat hikes, various boat excursions (crab fishing, island tours, seal rookeries), a visit to the Jever Brewery and the beautiful town of Jever, the artists’ village of Hooksiel, and the lively spa town of Horumersiel, which can be reached in about a 30-minute walk along the beach or on the dike. A bike rental shop is located right nearby. The beach playground, a highlight for children, is within walking distance. With a little luck, you can see the fascinating Northern Lights in winter.

Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet, sauber und liegt nur wenige Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt.
Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und der Kontakt unkompliziert.

Dieses Haus passt wirklich gut für den ersten kleinen Urlaub als Familie. Es ist gut ausgestattet und hat eine super Lage. Alles ist in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen. Schillig bietet einen tollen Strand und wenn man etwas mehr sehen möchte liegen andere Orte innerhalb 20 Minuten Fahrtzeit drumherum. Wir können dieses Haus auf jeden Fall empfehlen und es lief auch mit der Vermieterin alles problemlos ab. Wir kommen auch gerne nochmal.

Sehr unkomplizierte und entspannte Abwicklung. Funktionell eingerichtete Wohnung mit Terasse und Rasen. Der Strand von Schillig ist für Rollator-Benutzer nur sehr schwer erreichbar, da es nur wenig Möglichkeiten gibt, den Deich zu überwinden. Ein PKW ist für Schillig und Umgebung erforderlich.
Tolle 5 KM- Laufstrecke am Wasser entlang.

Die Abwicklung im Vorfeld war ohne größere Probleme. Die notwendigen Dokumente hatten wir im Vorhinein erhalten. Der Zugang war auch perfekt kontaktlos möglich.
Leider war der Zustand auf den ersten Blick nicht der beste. Schon die Stufe am Eingang war gebrochen und lose. Neben ein Paar Beschädigungen in der Küche, waren auch im Inneren in allen Zimmer Spinnweben inkl. deren Bewohner. An den Scheiben waren die Abdrücke der Fliegenklatsche und die Jagderfolge unserer Vormieter zu erkennen. Die Beschädigungen waren dem Vermieter zum Teil bekannt, konnten aber auf Grund der durchgehenden Belegung noch nicht ausgebessert werden. Soll aber gemacht werden, wurde uns vom Vermieter zugesagt.
Das Bad war leider auch nicht wirklich gut gereinigt und der Boden bzw. Versiegelungen sahen einfach nicht mehr gut aus. Vielleicht braucht das örtliche Reinigungsteam mal eine Nachjustierung.
Anfangs war es auch echt kalt im Haus, da alle Heizkörper scheinbar in Grundeinstellung waren. Nachdem die neu eingestellt waren, war es okay. Außer im Bad, der Heizlüfter wollte nicht wie ich will ;-).
Als wir auspackten und unsere 2 Jungs im Garten Fußballspielten, kam keine 10 Minuten später eine Nachbarin und meinte, dass Fußballspielen zuviel Krach macht und nicht erlaubt ist. Den erste Dämpfer hatte das Ganze dann schon bekommen.
Aber die gute Lage zum langen Sandstrand, die super Anbindung an Fahrradwege in alle Richtungen und auch die gute Erreichbarkeit von Ausflugszielen und größeren Staädten, haben es dann trotzdem zu einem schönen Herbsturlaub werden lassen.
