About this house rental
We rent our 6-hectare family property located on the edge of the Valbonne forest, at the crossroads of the Ardèche, the Gard and the Vaucluse.
Our large Provençal farmhouse of character is surrounded by a courtyard with trees and flowers and terraces with shade or sun depending on the time of day. 4 bedrooms, one of which is a studio overlooking the courtyard, 3 bathrooms, large fresh living room, very well equipped kitchen, free fiber Wifi. Baby cot and extra bed for 9th berth. Large table, barbecue and plancha on the terrace in the shade of hundred-year-old plane trees. A magnificent swimming pool area, flowered and comfortable, opens at the back of the house, closed by a wrought iron gate, with 12x6m swimming pool, sun loungers, pergola and parasols, ping pong and pool house (shower, WC). All for your exclusive use of course, you will be alone in the property.
The paths of the national massif were traced by the monks of the Chartreuse who, from the thirteenth century, planted rare species. The forest around the Mas brings freshness to the song of the cicadas and nature is completely preserved for walks, jogging or cycling. Nearby, swimming in the river, canoeing, horseback riding, tennis, tree climbing.
In the village of Saint-Paulet-de-Caisson located 2.7 km away, café and newspapers under the plane trees, good bakery, wine cooperative and its Côtes-du-Rhône, 3 restaurants. 7 km away, Pont Saint-Esprit and its famous Provencal market, bookshops and shops.
Nearby visits: The Chapel of Sainte-Agnès in St-Paulet (12th century), the Chartreuse de Valbonne (4 km), the medieval village of Aiguèze (6 km), La Roque-sur-Cèze and the Sauvadet waterfalls, the Gorges de l'Ardèche, the Aven d'Orgnac, the caves and geological chasms, the fabulous site of the Chauvet cave, its cave paintings and its museum (book the summer), Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, the Anselm Kiefer Foundation in Barjac. On the other side of the Rhône, to the east, the Vaucluse and its wines (Gigondas, Vacqueyras...) towards Mont Ventoux.
To reach the Mas: A7 exit 19 Bollène (20 min) or Bollène-La-Croisière SNCF station (12 km – 17 min), Orange station (TGV station, 30 minutes away), Montélimar or Avignon (TGV station, 50 minutes away).

This property was all that we had hoped for as a family. With ages ranging from 16 to 87 there was something for all of us here, sun, shade, fabulous pool, well equipped, one double bedroom on the ground floor for the older members of our family, quiet location in wonderful wooded surroundings, close to the local village for fresh bread in the mornings and small well stocked supermarket for other groceries, and all other facilities in a larger town just 10 minutes drive. The property offered plenty of space and privacy for different members of the family to do their own thing if they wanted, but also a number of lovely outside eating areas for family meals and socialising. Little to no noise from the one neighbour 500m away which was important for us. The area has endless incredible activities for all ages, beautiful historic villages, caves, cycling, swimming in the Ardèche, wonderful walks, amazing restaurants, but the property itself offered so much just to spend some quiet relaxing days there too. Jean, our host was fantastic, very welcoming and warm, informative and helpful, making our stay incredibly relaxed and smooth. Can’t recommend the host and the property highly enough.

Très beau mas dans un domaine boisé entouré de vignes avec une grande et belle piscine sécurisée. Un lieu proche des villages typiques de l'Ardèche et des lieux touristiques.
