We had an absolutely wonderful holiday. The hosts were exceptional—so warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The surrounding area was beautiful, peaceful, and full of authentic French charm, making it the perfect place to unwind. The gîte was spotless, beautifully presented, and extremely well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The pool and gardens were absolutely stunning and a real highlight of our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our holiday and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We hope to return in the future!

Joan & Eddie are superb hosts. The house has everything you need - Joan has thought of everything including an extremely generous welcome pack - completely unexpected & so welcome when you’re enjoying the fantastic pool & garden areas so much you can’t be bothered driving to the supermarket! Eddie & Joan quietly maintain the pool, garden & patio areas while leaving you to enjoy “ your home “ in private. We loved ‘the owls & the pussy cats’, the lavender scented cool air into the bedroom, the facilities, the space & luxurious pool & privacy & we were lucky enough to be there for the Producers Market which was a great evening of food, music, drinking, dancing & great company We had a lovely week & we would love to go back again in the future- thank you Joan & Eddie

Superb property, very comfortable and everything provided for our stay

Slightly remote, didn’t bother us though as we were looking for a getaway and relaxing time, this was perfect

The house, gardens and pool are outstanding, the photos really don’t do the property justice!! It’s clear the owners Joan and Eddie have spent a lot of love and hard work here. The pool area was perfect with open views over the field next to it. There are many different sitting areas which was lovely, we were spoilt for choice! The house itself is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Fans were in all the bedrooms which were needed in the heat, although the house kept nice and cool. There was a lovely welcome back which was appreciated and Joan and Eddie were the perfect hosts! The local Irish bar which is ran by their daughter is a real delight. Fabulous cocktails and themed meals in the evenings. There is a local lake and small beach at Saint Mathieu where you can swim and hire pedalos, kayaks and paddle boards. So many places to visit around here with a great market on a Wednesday at local Piégut-Pluviers. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, thank you to Eddie for his kindness to our son, he said to tell you it made it back in one piece!
