Hotel Kuva Chateau

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Kuva Chateau. We booked a Junior Suite for two nights, and it honestly exceeded our expectations. The room was huge, with a separate living area and bedroom that could even be divided by curtains if you wanted a bit more privacy. Everything felt clean, spacious, and well equipped. There was a capsule coffee machine, tea bags, an electric kettle, a minibar fridge, glasses, cups, cable TV with streaming apps, a wardrobe with a safe, bathrobes, slippers, a desk, and even a trouser press. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The bathroom was another highlight: it was spacious, spotless, had a great bathtub, and the shower had excellent water pressure. We stayed on the 16th floor and had a beautiful view overlooking the park and Zhongli Sports Center, which made mornings and evenings even more enjoyable. The facilities were also excellent. The fifth floor has a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and a well-equipped gym that was perfect for a quick workout during our stay. There is also a laundry room with coin-operated washers and dryers, detergent dispensers, an ice machine, and a water dispenser, which is always convenient when you’re traveling. Breakfast was served until 10:30 a.m. and offered a good variety of options. Unless you have very specific dietary restrictions, you’ll probably find everything you need for a satisfying breakfast. We also enjoyed the café on the first floor, which serves Starbucks drinks and is a nice place to relax with a coffee. The hotel itself has a very elegant atmosphere. The lobby is spacious, with plenty of seating if you arrive before check-in, and the décor kinda blends classic Chinese and Western styles. It doesn’t have a trendy, ultra-modern look of newer hotels, but it has its own charm, with beautiful vases, sculptures, and a sort of timeless feel. What really stood out, though, was the staff.

Honestly, we had a wonderful stay, and it’s hard to come up with any real complaints. If I had to mention a couple of minor things, the first would be that the only place to get drinking water and ice was on the fifth floor. It wasn’t inconvenient enough to bother us, but having a dispenser on every floor would have been a nice touch. The only real downside was the pool schedule. The pool, sauna, and steam room operate in 90-minute sessions with mandatory breaks in between, and everyone must leave the wellness area at the end of each session. While I understand this helps with cleaning and capacity management, it makes it impossible to spend a relaxed morning or afternoon by the pool. Longer sessions would make the experience much more enjoyable. I also noticed that the gym could use a bit more ventilation. The air and some of the equipment surfaces felt slightly dusty, although not to the point where it affected our workout. The entire gym floor is carpeted, and there isn’t a dedicated area with padded flooring for stretching or bodyweight exercises. They also didn’t provide yoga mats or exercise mats, which would have made floor exercises much more comfortable. These are really just small observations rather than complaints. None of them had any meaningful impact on our stay, and overall we had a fantastic experience. We’d gladly stay here again.
