Gîte La Place

Gîte parfait, au calme. Hôte très accueillant et agréable

We can only highly recommend this 2 storey gite which surpassed our expectations . It was chilly during our time there but the heating was great . The kitchen was cosy and the bedroom extremely comfortable with a high ceiling and a great bed . The location was fantastic . There was even a huge swimming pool for the residents of the tiny village , and the atmosphere was extremely friendly and welcoming from everyone - from our host , Linda, to the Mayor. Our stay coincided with Bastille Day so we joined the village in their celebrations .

Everything was fantastic . We asked to stay longer but it was booked .

The village is very quiet and peaceful.The apartment is very clean and modern, with a kitchen down stairs along with the only toilet, with the bedroom and bathtub/shower on the second floor. This would be a nice stay if you you were travelling with your own bedding, and towels and spoke French.

Very hard to find, not on Booking's map and not on Google maps. Even with advanced notice of my arrival time weeks ahead of time and an hour ahead of time on the day of my arrival there was no one there to meet me, so quite an adventure to try and find an unlocked door in a strange rural village. It would nice to settle in after a long day of travelling instead of having to wait 1.5 hours for someone to show up. Certainly not the best first impression. No internet, that is listed in the description but it is important to mention in case you missed that. Hard to live without internet when you're traveling and having to plan for the next day. For a 'fully stock apartment' there were no towels either in the bathroom or in the kitchen and no linens, sheets or pillowcases on the bed. Also no 'English'. While there is certainly nothing wrong with that in itself, 'English spoken' was listed on on the Booking site.
