Mediterraneo Apartments ORO

Beautifully presented, very well stocked. Walk into Marzamemi was only a few minutes and well lit up at night.

The noise of cars and trucks passing outside. Hard to have a conversation with the noise at times.

The building is brand new which meant electric, water pressure & temperature, insulation and ventilation were all superb, which is not always the case in Italy. The interior of the apartment is well decorated and well equipped with good quality new appliances and furniture, which were all very clean and in top condition. WIFI also worked very well. Large furnished terrace was perfect for a drink late afternoon / early evening and having breakfast or dinner. Location is both convenient for those who want to drive to near by beaches and towns, and those who want to head into the Marzamemi village center on foot. Last but not least the host was a super lovely couple who patiently (and very friendly) explained everything about the apartment and surrounding to us. Despite the language gap (we don’t know Italian and they don’t speak English), we had very smooth conversations using google translate, other apps and our expressions and hands and we really felt welcomed and cared for by them!

The only down side of the convenient location is that there’s constant traffic which can get quite loud when the windows are open. Also it might be a Sicilian thing as we noticed the same in other places, the pillows are really massive and firm, which we were not used to (this is of course very subjective).
