Romanina Appartamento Giuland

La zona è periferica, ma il contesto in cui si trova l'appartamento è molto carino e signorile. L'appartamento è ampio e pulito. Il bus 504 Anagnina passa con ottima frequenza e ti porta in pochi minuti alla stazione della metropolitana Anagnina (metro A) con la quale in circa mezz'ora si arriva in centro città. Nel periodo in cui siamo rimasti vi era una piccola sagra paesana molto frequentata dai residenti del quartiere, con street food e musica. La zona era ventilata per cui la temperatura era molto piacevole rispetto al caldo del centro di Roma. A poche centinaia di metri in via Petrocelli vi è un supermercato (Todis mi sembra) molto ben fornito.

L'appartamento era perfetto, peccato per la disorganizzazione totale di ATAC. Nella giornata di sabato 23 maggio la metro A è stata chiusa per manutenzione tutto il giorno sostituita da un numero irrisorio di bus (dividendo la Metro A in due tratte 1 e 2 per rendere ancora più complicato il viaggio ai turisti/pendolari). Morale: i bus erano strapieni ed era impossibile salire con un passeggino (ho una bambina piccola). Per tornare dal centro di Roma ho dovuto fare dei viaggi empirici per le metro B e C aggiungendovi anche lunghi tratti in bus.... Chi fa la programmazione della manutenzione dovrebbe anche pensare ad un numero idoneo di bus sostitutivi e non lasciare tutto al caso.

The apartment met our needs entirely as a base of operations and landing spot for our visit with friends and sites within the city. The accommodations were very tidy and clean, complete with toiletry towels and soaps, good sheets and comforters, and the kitchen was supplied with cooking and eating utensils, along with the usual modern conveniences of kettle, toaster and microwave. The refrigerator cooled, and there was a dishwasher we didn't use, but a laundry machine and outdoor drying lines/pegs we did use. Two nice balconies outside the bedroom and kitchen/living/dining-room walls respectively, and the air conditioning kept the apartment cool in the hotter than usual June weather. The building is clean and functional, the elevator worked suitably, and we didn't need parking as the building is on a bus line and was close to our friends. The apartment is also close to a small mall and Todis grocery store, along with various restaurants and shops, and is adjacent to a park that has regular produce vendors and a weekly food truck drop by on Fridays. Not a tourist area: just a nice Roman neighbourhood.

We went there in July and it was above 40 in Rome. The place is on the top floor and there is no air conditioning. It was miserable, we were literally cooked. Unless there is air conditioning, I’d avoid in the summer months. Secondly, the location. It is waaay outside Rome. If you plan to visit the city, stay closer. It takes close to an hour with public transport. Around the place there is nothing to do.
