Everything else, there are either bed bugs or fleas in the beds, access to the garden is via a very steep set of steps not shown or mentioned, parking at the rear is risky with poor access to the front of the property, we tried to open the rear gate, it fell off! Building works happening at the 2 properties next to it, drilling and banging early morning to late evening. We arrived on the Sunday evening, planned to stay for the week but left on the Tuesday morning, the area is beyond run down. I understand it's a period property but standards are poor, it could be a great little holiday home, but it's not. Absolutely ruined our Christmas week. Without doubt, our worst holiday experience

Good base to stay at other than the bed

Shower was brilliant, decor was nice, got parking very close to house, kitchen was decent, it was left extremely clean!

Double Bed was tiny, we are a normal size couple and we really struggled to sleep. Smell when we came in smelt a bit ‘old’. Maybe some diffusers would help? It set the tone off a little negative to start with as it didn’t feel too homely at first.

Lovely little cottage , very cosy and comfortable . Unfortunately we felt the area was not the best which was a shame . There was a lot of rubbish locally and the town seemed very run down .

A lovely cosy and comfortable cottage with lots of quirky features. We really enjoyed our weekend stay and the Welsh Cakes were very much appreciated. We were in Swansea for a swimming competition at the Wales National Pool which was an easy 25min drive, this was an ideal base.

Few days away

The little cottage was beautiful, I loved all the little decorations throughout. It was lovely and warm very cosy, the sofas were very comfy, and the beds were lovely.

It says pet friendly, but no dogs upstairs, and my dog doesn't like to be left alone and kept trying to come up with us and spent time downstairs crying.

loved this cottage! it’s was lovely throughout and had some lovely quirky touches. It was very homely and comfortable. The hosts were very attentive and friendly. kindly left us some Welsh cakes. Would recommend if you want a Chinese - Eastern kitchen who are on Just Eat and deliver. There are plenty of menus in the information pack too along with information about the area. If you love fish and chips then highly recommend Hikarys Fish Bar - it’s award winning and certainly lives up to it and it’s in walking distance. We also enjoyed cooking some meals in the kitchen which was well equipped. I would definitely recommend the cottage - felt right at home and very cosy. The beds were very comfy too!

Good value for money.

A clean comfortable cottage for our 3 day stay. Couple of touches ie tin foil and kitchen items if you forgot them. Stairgate for keeping doggy downstairs as they cannot go upstairs. Value for money.

Being an old cottage the stairs were very steep but accessible.

Very good

The cottage was very authentic and very comfortable and lovingly restored. It was well presented with everything that you would want for a family break. The whole place, including the kitchen, was well equipped with all the things that you would need plus good reliable WiFi, with Netflix and Youtube and a comfortable lounge to relax in.

The availability of parking was a challenge because of the residential parking zones. Get parked before 5:00p.m. and you should be fine.

Adorable cottage with that makes you feel right at home!

We loved the cottage and are definitely planning to come back! From there you for example can visit Rhossili Bay, Cardiff or Hay-on-Wye and in the evening you can relax outside or watch some Netflix. It was really cozy and we felt right at home. Communication was always without problems and the hosts seemed really nice (although we didn't meet them in person). We loved the humour that was apparent through some of the decoration :-)

Not a big issue but for 4 adults you will be in the same room as there were 2 double beds in one room and a single in another. Not a bad thing really just a surprise to us.

Lovely homely rustic cottage situated in a fabulous geographical location and idea for short stays

The bathtub was a lovely depth to relax in. Welsh cakes upon arrival. The garden was fully enclosed which is great for dog owners. House warmed up very quickly once heating was on. Kitchen had all equipment required to cook with. Beds and sofa were very comfy. House was very homely. Plenty of storage for clothing, toiletries, food in kitchen. Although we didn't use, there is a washing machine and laundry detergent available in the basement. Hot water always on demand. Dog bowl and treats were provided. House was in a great geographical location for surrounding shopping areas and dog walking spots. Would definitely love to stay here again but as I previously mentioned, dogs not being allowed upstairs is an issue for me.

The noise from the traffic in the master bedroom we assumed would quieten down later in the evenings but it didnt. Parking out front was not great as the majority is residential parking, and a lot of double yellows, rear of property didn't seem safe to leave vehicle out of sight. Tv has no terrestrial signal, streaming apps only. We noticed a lot of dvds but no dvd player. Dogs not being allowed upstairs was an issue as I didn't see that mentioned anywhere on the booking.com page, it wasn't until we got to the property and read the welcoming pack. My dog has severe separation anxiety and spent the first night non stop crying downstairs and I ended up having to sleep on the sofa for the remainder of the holiday.

Beautiful cottage. Cosy, comfortable, aesthetically beautiful. Pet friendly- brought our chocolate lab with us. We had to call owner for directions and she was very approachable and patient. Plenty of free parking at back if cottage. Owner left us Welsh cakes which we thought was such a sweet touch.

Very cosy warm cottage with comfy beds and plenty of hot water. Dog friendly.

One of the ovens didnt work. No live TV but catch up and netflix etc were available.
