Located directly at the entrance to the Schaabe—the island’s longest swimming beach—is the former fishing village of Breege on the Wittow Peninsula. Here you’ll find a stunning marina, hidden coves and headlands, as well as a breathtaking natural setting with lush flowering meadows and pristine natural beaches. From the harbor in Breege, you can take a leisurely trip to the neighboring island of Hiddensee or to Ralswiek, where the famous “Störtebeker Festival” is held every year.
