Mangrove View on Oyster Creek

The home was in a very quiet community. Having the pool and the canal in the back was an added pleasure. Vacasa was extremely helpful and friendly! Looking forward to a return visit.

The code to unlock the door was ridiculously long, and we had to use it every time we entered.

The house was very clean. We saw 0 bugs the 2 days we were there. Both bedrooms are master bedrooms with bathrooms next to the bedrooms. The house is very spacious. When you first walk inside the home that is the 'living room/sitting room'. It is an awkward space. Huge room with 1 sofa and 1 chair. I feel like a tv needs installed in that room. Also, that sliding glass door off of that room into the screened in porch (then into the pool/lanai) the door barely locks. My husband figured it out finally. You need alot of strength to lock it. That lock needs replaced, for security reasons. The house has all old kitchen & bathroom cabinets/sinks (reminds me of the Brady Bunch tv show) but everything was clean so no issues with that. The 2 beds were comfortable. The passcode for the front door was emailed to me the morning we were going to be checking in. Worked well. We would go back to this house. It is on a quiet residential street. We drove to Manasota Key beach, Caspersan beach Stump Pass beach, Blind Pass beach, from this house. Make sure to have sand sifters to look for prehistoric fossilized shark teeth at Caspersan beach! We found alot. Not far.. about 15-20 minutes. There are some stores and fast food places near by. Mcdonalds, Marco's pizza, Publix, etc. The water behind the house is peaceful with beautiful sunrises. Fish are always jumping out of the water. We saw a few kayakers going past the home. The pool is smaller but nice to have. There are purple pool lights that you can turn on and looks neat at night time. The pool needed cleaned and more water needed added to the pool. On arrival, there were wash cloths, bath towels (enough for 4 people), 3 laundry soap pods (could have used a few more), 3 cascade dish washer pods, dish liquid soap, soap at all 3 sinks, 2 paper towels, and plenty of toilet paper. The laundry area is nice with a wash tub. Overall we have a nice experience here and would come again!

The 3 screened doors (on lanai & screened in porch) do lock but they are weak and will not keep an intruder out. The lock on the sliding glass door (off of the kitchen) does lock fine. Also, the pool had sand in it and the water was very low in the pool. The water was about 4 inches below the skimmer and not able to be filtered or cleaned out. That should be fixed prior to customers renting the home. We did turn on the water hose and filled the water up to the skimmer.

Very clean, well taken care of. Perfect area to everything.

Pool was full of bugs.

Clean and comfortable with a beautiful, peaceful back yard along the river; and the pool was refreshing!
