This beautifully renovated barn, lies in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Barn Acre is positioned in the stunning village of Carlton, situated four miles from the popular market town of Leyburn. The property has two good sized double bedrooms, a modern, stylish kitchen and characterful living area with open fire. The modern bathroom has a walk in shower and the property benefits from under floor heating.

Well equipped cottage and comfy sofas and we had a very enjoyable stay in Barn Acre.

Very very comfortable with everything you need to cook (handy as there’s only the lovely pub at hand and no shop nearby). Heating works a treat and it’s a relaxing and welcoming place to return to after yet another amazing walk. The generous welcome pack goodies very much appreciated! Thanks again.

Enjoyed our short break in Carlton. Cottage clean and comfortable in a great location for the East side of the Dales. Easy directions and instruction from the host and a super welcome pack to greet us. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed this cosy cottage, nicely furnished, kitchen etc well-equipped. There is, however, an odour issue, especially in the small bedroom and the living-room, probably due to mould. Place needs to be aired frequently. Still, a good choice.

A superb cottage, it was perfectly clean and tidy and well appointed, with a lovely little welcome package too! The bed was comfy and the kitchen had everything I needed, a large TV offering Freeview, FreeSat and streaming services if you have an account. WiFi was good throughout the property which is great because I had no phone signal (which was perfect for me!) The location is a quiet village with a nice little pub (but no shops), set amongst the Yorkshire Dales. Everywhere you walk or drive gives stunning views, so a perfect spot for a relaxing holiday. Thank you for a great couple of weeks!

As ever, heavenly! We spent a lovely 5 days at barn acre. The weather though changeable was excellent and gave us a chance to continue to explore the area. Bolton castle is a must. We were able to return to barn acre knowing that it is a wonderful base. Everything you need for a very comfortable visit. This is our third visit and won’t be our last. We thank the owners for their cosy home from home and their lovely welcome package.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Barn Acre. The house is beautifully decorated and well equipped. We cooked, we played games by the fire, we slept soundly. We left wanting to return to this lovely house in "God's own country". The Dales are spectacular in Spring - so beautiful, so green (and muddy!) and little lambs everywhere.

We had a fabulous time at the cottage which is newly renovated and extremely well equipped. The shower is superb! We also loved the open fire. It is the ideal location for exploring the mid Dales and the rain didn’t stop our fun. We would highly recommend this property.

One of my favourite holiday houses ever. The house has all amenities you could want for a self catering holiday, with plenty of lovely and thoughtful extras. The location is beautiful with plenty of places to see and walk nearby. The owners responded quickly to any messages and the instructions for getting there and check in were excellent. I would wholeheartedly recommend!
