About this house rental
Le Moulin is the perfect place to get together and recharge with friends or family. This beautiful, authentic building on the banks of the peaceful Erdre River, with its gardens, terraces, and the surrounding nature, is sure to charm you!
Around Le Moulin:
Just a 5-minute drive from all essential shops, Le Moulin is the perfect starting point for exploring the surrounding nature (hikes, forests, castles, canoeing, Lake Vioreau…), Nantes (35 minutes), or even the coast (1 hour from La Baule).
The Moulin’s grounds:
The property is located on the Erdre River, a tributary of the Loire. The Erdre is a peaceful river ideal for canoe trips and offering an idyllic setting for your outdoor lunches and dinners (outdoor dining area and barbecue available). For the adventurous, swimming is possible in a pool fed by the river. The river may also appeal to anglers with the proper equipment and licenses. The estate also offers numerous areas for relaxation and recreation, including riverfront lawns and gravel areas for lively games of pétanque, Molky, or badminton (equipment provided).
Le Moulin:
Le Moulin was built in the 16th century. It has since been renovated into a comfortable home spanning over 300 m² across three levels, fully equipped with four double bedrooms and three bathrooms:
On the first floor:
Entryway (outdoor games available: Molky, pétanque, badminton...), bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower), fully equipped kitchen, living room featuring a large fireplace, a grand piano, and a dining area with a large, extendable table perfect for gatherings.
On the 1st floor: 3 bedrooms with double beds, one of which has a private terrace; large bathroom with a corner bathtub, shower, and toilet.
On the 2nd floor: large game room with a wide selection of board games as well as a pool table; a bedroom with an attached bathroom (shower and toilet).
Notes:
- Le Moulin has internet access (not high-speed: 3 Mbps), and cell phone reception (Edge/3G/4G) is very unreliable
- The grounds offer numerous access points to the river, so please keep a close eye on children who are not yet old enough to swim
- The entrance to the property is shared with the neighboring house
- Events are not permitted

The house is a beautiful location, very quiet and rural. It is well equipped and comfortable. It was cool in the evenings when we were there but had a fire to keep us warm. It is only 8 minutes from the town which had everything we needed. We were sad to leave

A fantastic spot just to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We almost got bored of watching the kingfishers flitting around the river. The house is lovely and welcoming and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area.

We had a perfect time as a family of 5 adults revisiting this property after 30 years. I have left a full review from our second stay here as we did a split stay, travelling to another area in the middle of our 2 week holiday. However, I will say again that the house is idyllic. I don't think there is another house with such a perfect setting.

We came here as a family group of five adults following a favourite family holiday here nearly 30 years ago. This property is truly amazing. Character, space and a perfect location. We could have spent the whole holiday just enjoying the views, wildlife and tranquillity of the outside space as well as enjoying the character of the inside. Claire was extremely helpful and very easy to communicate with, providing helpful information and quick responses to queries. I cannot praise this property enough, it is stunning. We honestly did not want to leave and will not wait another 30 years before visiting again!
