To forget

It is really well located

Everything else. The room does not correspond to the description on Booking: first of all, it is not about an apartment, but a single room with shared living-room and kitchen (not equipped. There were only 3 pans and no oil, salt, coffe,..). On Booking it is not well specified, in fact all the other guests did not know that they would have found other people in it. Secondly, the room was too little and cold (we asked the owners to reheat it, but they told us that they could not do that), the bed was little, for one person, and definitely not for two adults. We also found hair on it. The owners were rude and impolite. Definitely unadvisable!

Motel of horrors with rude and insulting host

Hostel style accomodation. Has kitchen utensils. Has a sitting area outside, though not at all covered so only usable when it doesn't rain. Kinda between a motel and hostel.

They wrongfully claim to have sound proofing. It. Was super loud all day and night. The nice house that u see on booking is the owners house, guests are in a less beautiful anex. It was porting rain and no extra towels or anything to dry the all went outdoors etc was provided. Instead we had to use the towels..and then the m.ost surprising thing that I have never seen coming happened: So...after checkout I got this text where the owner SWORE at me, calling me disgusting and other vulgar words (the tone!!!!). The reason was that they claim we did not tidy up enough. But I feel the real reason is that they want more money- they wrote us Saturday morning wanting 25 chf (room was 100) ,and u have until sunday' like in a mafia movie... I have been to many places around d the world ans while I am not proud I have left rooms untidy before. But never have I ever been harassed and insulted for it. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR NUMBER AND DO NOT PAY HIDDEN FEES EVEN IF THEY THREATEN AND INSULT U!! AND PAY 10 BUCKS MORE FOR THE BOUTIQUE HOTEL ACROSS THE STREET IF HOSPITALITY IS SOMETHING U APPRECIATe. Attached the fotos that caused them to call us pigs etc and want 25% hidden costs

This place was advertised with false information. The Description says: "Boasting a garden, a shared lounge, and a bar, Plein soleil features accommodation in Martigny-Ville with free WiFi and garden views. This apartment offers free private parking and a shared kitchen. The apartment has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace with mountain views. " The second paragraph mentions no sharing of the living space or the TV. So we were expecting the kitchen will be our own. So our understanding was that there is our own kitchen as well as a shared one. But what you in fact get is a small bedroom with a small double bed with an ensuite bathroom. Very disappointing after a long journey. We planned to stay 5 nights but given the condition, we didn't stay a single night. We asked them to cancel the booking and refund us which hasn't happened. The lady who was in the premises had no authority to process a refund and since then we are still not offered a refund. This is not an apartment, this is a house share with a very small room.

Superb

I thought it was an entire apartment. there are 3 bedrooms that get rented and then you have the use of the apartment but it is not private. the apartment is lovely and clean and the host was friendly.

Worst travel experience i've ever made

The location was near to the city. I disliked everything else. it was like the worst travel experience in my whole life.

The whole appartment was a ripoff. The owner was very rude and threatened me multiple times in french language during my stay. He doesn't speak any english, be aware. When you are not satisfied with the appartment he's suddenly not able to speak any foreign language at all.. You don't get an appartment, you get a small bedroom (with an even smaller bed) and a small private bathroom in a shared appartment. It's hard to even sleep there with 2 persons. Every other room (kitchen, TV, living room) is shared with 3 other travel-groups, some of them even with dogs/animals. I had to depart after the first night because there appeared a big german-shephard dog in the living room on day 2, who bared it's teeth to my 2year old son. (and i have also some sort of allergy to dog-hair). The price to value ratio isn't any good, you can get a 3-Star-Hotel for the same price. The rooms are not clean (lot of dust under the bed), there's mould on the wall-corners. There is a lot of trash/trashy furniture on the property. no child-beds available. We needed one and the owner wanted to give us the much to small one on the pictures (yeah, that one with the fire-wood above it!) In the end the owner refused to reimburse me in any way so I had to contact the booking-service for a small reimbursement. I would avoid staying here in the future under any circumstances. I've been to places all over the world but i never felt so frightened and uncomfortable in any other lodging. There is a pool on the property but it's only for the owner's family. You will feel like on a property where the owner can relaxe in his pool while you sweat in your small bedroom (without AC)...

Perfect place for family reunion!

EVERYTHING!! Newly renovate, spacious rooms with ensuite bathrooms, large living area, fully functioning kitchen, and the patio with view that is hard to beat! Owner is great to work with! A 15min walk from the train station, easy enough to find (used locator on phone). The only thing that disappointed us was that the pool is not part of the package. Maybe in the future the owner would consider this option. 🙂Otherwise, you’ll kick yourself for not choosing this place!

Complete appartment

Great location to see the valley and the mountains around Martigny. Clean bathroom, complete (shared) kitchen. Possibilty to use the washing machine.

We couldn't find the place, because we didn't have a streetnumber. We never met the host. Checking out was not possible, because there was no one around. We left the keys in the room.

Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend.

The shared common space was well equipped and modern. Everything was very clean and the owners were extremely accommodating. It is in a great location, the train station and grocery stores are all in walking distance.

It was a little difficult to find because it wasn’t completely visible from the main road (it’s at the end of a little street off the main main road). However, they have put up a sign for their property so just keep an eye out for it.

Ich bin extra aus Deutschland in die Schweiz gereist und leider spreche ich kein Französisch, weshalb ich mich in der Situation nicht wirklich verteidigen konnte. Die Erfahrung mit dieser Unterkunft war sehr enttäuschend. Der Gastgeber war alles andere als freundlich oder respektvoll. Ich hatte Besuch, der mir half, mein Gepäck zu tragen und mich mit dem Auto abzuholen – doch der Gastgeber sprach in einem äußerst unhöflichen Ton mit uns, forderte „Respekt und Anstand“, benahm sich dabei jedoch selbst wie ein Straßenrowdy. Er schrie herum und forderte meinen Gast auf zu gehen, was mich sehr schockierte. So ein Verhalten ist absolut unangebracht. Außerdem roch es im Haus leider sehr unangenehm. Ich kann diese Unterkunft definitiv nicht weiterempfehlen.*

Magnifique

Disponible à tout heure, le patron a été d'une gentillesse incroyable. A l'arrivée à la gare, j'ai bénéficié de sa disponibilité afin de rejoindre la pension et il m'a même ramené au centre ville. La chambre, qui en fait est un mini appartement, avec cuisinette est top, super propre, soignée et spacieuse. Équipée d'un frigo, micro onde et plaque de cuisson, c'est parfait pour un petit séjour. Situé dans un zone super calme, c'est le séjour idéal pour du repos. Merci pour cette belle découverte et cette amabilité.

In der Bestätigungsemail stand, ich soll die Telefonnummer anrufen, um den Schlüssel zu erhalten und auch nach 20 Versuchen hat niemand geantwortet. Ich musste eine andere Unterkunft buchen und habe auch nach persönlichem Kontakt am nächsten Tag keine Rückerstattung erhalten, obwohl ich nie in dem Zimmer war.

prima locatie voor een doorreis of kort verblijf in Martigny

De locatie is rustig en dichtbij de bergen waar je fijn kunt wandelen en fietsen. Wij gebruikten het als tussenstop om verder te fietsen naar Chamonix de volgende dag. Appartement was modern ingericht en schoon.

Ik ben 1.80m, mijn 15 jarige zoon is 1.70m en hoewel wij onszelf als van gemiddelde lengte inschatten verbaast het mij altijd hoe klein een tweepersoonsbed is. Ook hier vonden wij het bed oncomfortabel klein voor vader en zoon en hadden liever twee eenpersoonsbedden gehad.

Nicht buchen, verwirrende Angaben in der Beschreibung!!!

Unterkunft hat sehr unterschiedliche Angaben zur Ausstattung in der Anzeige und antwortet nicht. Es ist scheinbar keine Ferienwohnung wie dargestellt und teilweise steht mit Bettwäsche und Handtücher und dann wieder das diese dazugebucht werden kann. Vermieter reagiert nicht auf Nachrichten.

Une balade à Martigny

L'accueil de la fille du propriétaire, chambre confortable, prises électriques à côté du lit, salle de bain pratique, accès au jardin derrière la chambre ; WiFi très performant et constant. La cuisine bien équipée. Les parties communes avec 2 tables et un grand sofa pour accueillir les guests des chambres avoisinantes. Télécommande du portail pour être indépendants et place de parking dans la propriété. Gare sbb de Martigny et centre ville à 10 min à pied.

Les rideaux de la chambre pas vraiment obscurantes donc réveillés au petit matin et pas vraiment de discrétion vue la fenêtre de la maison en face ; coussins vraiment pas confortables ( trop mous); poubelle dans la cuisine pas vidé depuis les clients précédents. On a écrit des messages, téléphoné au numéro publié sur Booking, sonné et frappé à la porte à plusieurs reprises mais pas de réponse de l'hôte même que assurés d'y avoir accès en cas de besoin.
