Great location, unit was a bit dated and carpets were not in as good of shape. Stained up, hair stuck w/ tape to walls... beach chairs were both broken and need replace - we noticed after packing them to the beach.

This condo was overall good. Our family enjoys Sugar Beach and we have stayed their several times. The condo itself was clean, but very dated. In particular the carpets need to be replaced, they are probably original and are stained very badly. We did encounter some uncleanliness when it came to the pull out couch mattress protector and the management dealt with it EXTREMELY well. We told them and almost immediately a brand new one was delivered to us with no hassle. I think for the location the condo is a good value, but please give some consideration to making some cosmetic updates.

We have been going to Sugar Beach Resort for nearly 40 years. Built in 1978, the pool area can use an update but is well kept and the staff is great.
The unit is shaded in the morning so eating breakfast on the lanai is a pleasure. In the evening, the view of the sunset from the lanai is amazing.
Most of the units we have stayed in are regularly updated. This unit seems worn. In addition to needing some wall repair and a fresh coat of paint, the kitchen supplies were sadly inadequate. There was 1 teaspoon and one round soup spoon. There were plenty of large plates but only 2 salad size plates. It was nice that there were several sizes of scissors though.
The TV is small and while we weren't there to watch TV, when we could (see below) and did, it was too far away for our aging eyes.
The cleaning crew did a good job on the inside but the lanai furniture was gritty and slimy. We called and they came right over and cleaned everything and said that the people before us had left sunscreen everywhere.
When we arrived, the internet, cable, and unit phone did not work. We contacted the management company, VACASA, and they connected us with Spectrum who came out the next day and fixed everything. We arrived on 2/6 and the Spectrum repair person said that their records showed everything had been out since 2/2.
We'll be back to Sugar Beach but in a different apartment.
