Punta D'Acu Country Resort

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort. As many people have written, the photos don’t do it justice. The walk from the restaurant to the pool is so beautiful, like walking through an ancient village with stunning plants and flowers. The grounds are kept so well. The room itself was a little basic, but did have a comfortable bed, aircon, a good strong shower and a coffee machine. There’s also a picturesque restaurant on site if you like American food. The guys running it are very charming.

What could have been better was the welcome….well it wasn’t one. We were shown to our room and that was it. It would have been good to be given some knowledge of the resort, where the pool is, restaurant opening times, local restaurants, things to do (BTW there’s an archaeological site right next door), especially as there is no guest book in the room. It would also be good to have a few parasols around the pool. There is shade under some trees, but it’s limited. Overall an enjoyable stay and a great location to explore the area.

This resort is a true gem! It is so beautiful and well maintained, the grounds are gorgeous. The little cabin that we stayed in had everything we needed and was so cozy. Staff was friendly, helpful, and all of the extra information on local restaurants and activities was much appreciated. The location is great and it is very clean. We can't wait to come back.

The accommodation is a fully renewed rural settlement, with a lot of charme, full in the nature. Nice pool area, well maintained green. We booked a room on first floor, but were accommodated in a different “farmer house”, also fully renovated.

Despite the old walls, the division with the second room within the same building was an extra thin wall, so you hear word by word what the neighbors say and the water running in the sink. It contrasted with the sense of privacy from outside The room is indeed charming, but not really suitable for more than a couple of nights: very small space, no where to store the suitcases, small shower. I would not recommend the restaurant for dinner (breakfast is ok)

Very quiet location with greenery around and a nice pool.
