The House of the Rising Sun & Hot Spa

The place felt like an adventure; as soon as we arrived, the lights were on, and the music was playing. It was really thoughtful. The area out the back was gold; we could pop the dogs out without any concern, as it was completely enclosed. The rooms were basic but cosy, and we chose the room at the end as it seemed to have a good vibe. The fire was lovely, and we had plenty of wood, and I enjoyed collecting kindling from the property. We enjoyed the freedom of the property, the walks, nature and peace and tranquillity. The spa was a delight, and we will return. Andy, who was looking after the property, was a gem, and Patricia was amazing with messages. The chickens were cute too. We really enjoyed watching the birds; there were so many beautiful birds around.

Nothing we didn't like. The only thing we would add, though, is that there was no sugar. There was olive oil, salt, spices, tea, and coffee, but no sugar. Perhaps the last guest may have used it all up? Having some firewood and kindling ready to go in the fireplace would be a nice touch; however, it wasn't a major issue for us.

It was amazing and suited the purpose which was a 40th birthday. It was quiet and a home away from home. Entertainment by the fire and wake up calls by the sun and kookaburras. Spacious and decorative three bedroom house- perfect for families and celebrations with friends (30th, 40th etc). The host, Patricia was spectacular. Answered all our questions and helped us out when needed. She is the friendly host you’ll ever meet. Highly recommend her place. The spa was serene.

As per the photos, the view is just incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed the outside spa and we felt very safe. Patricia was extremely accommodating, friendly and approachable. We all slept really well, enjoyed the bird life, and spending the nights next to the firepit was just lovely. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we might need. There were many grocery items available to us if we needed it, which was great. The kids really enjoyed the guitars, walking around and exploring the grounds, and the chickens were their highlight.
