About this chalet rental

We invite you to share our personal home-from-home, a delightful self-catering cedarwood chalet on a quiet site , views onto woodland and local bird life , including Philip the pheasant. As I write this, I can see robins, blue tits and blackbirds on the bird feeders.
The chalet is a perfect base for all that west Wales has to offer. It is 2 miles from LLansteffan Beach (perfect for walks and playing on, although not swimming). There's a lovely fish and chip shop and cafe. There's also a new children's play area.

The site also has stunning views of the Towy Valley and surrounding countryside.

The chalet consists of a lounge, kitchen-diner, bathroom, with a combined bath & shower. Two bedrooms, one with a double bed. The other single is a cabin bed (waist height).

There isn't a television but we have a music hi-fi with a selection of CDs, DAB radio and books.
We bring a laptop or tablet pre-loaded with films to watch.
There is a £1 coin meter for electric, so please bring a selection.

Beds will be made, please can you bring your own towels.

If required, the site has a laundry facility, on the chalet site.

Elmrise Park is situated four miles from Carmarthen Town on the Towy Estuary, close to the seaside village of Llansteffan. It is well located for a wide range of fantastic visitor attractions in the region, including:

* The National Botanic Gardens of Wales

* The seaside resort of Tenby

* Laugharne and writer Dylan Thomas' Boathouse

* Pembrey Park

* Llanelli National Coastal Park

* Penclacwydd Wildfowl Reserve

* Folly Farm and Oakwood Leisure Park

* Pendine Sands

* Saundersfoot and Wiseman's Bridge

Locally, attractions include Llansteffan Beach (great for walks, not suitable for swimming in due to strong currents) and Scott's Bay, Llansteffan Castle and woodland and hill walks.

In the village of Llansteffan, there is a pub The Castle Inn, which does bar meals. The Sticks restaurant has a Wales-wide reputation for great food. There's also a village shop with a post office and bakery, plus beach shop and Florries fish and chip shop

The nearby village of Johnstown has a Spar shop and in Carmarthen, there is a thriving shopping centre, with an indoor market, street market, good restaurants and takeaways,local independent shops and high street stores, plus a Morrisions supermarket and a large Tesco Extra store
