Villas Casa Carlos

Es un lugar muy tranquilo, queda un toque largo de Cobano, pero haces tus compras en el super llevas todo a la Villa y es un éxito. El lugar cuenta con gran espacio, una hermosa piscina.

Tuvimos una situación con la pantalla TV,, en cuanto a su funcionamiento, pero, nada que modifique lo bien que la pasamos.

The pool, private parking in the shade (small apartment) ease of access (key safe) location felt safe, quiet area with mostly Airbnb or expats. Close to beaches and national parks. Good TV, access to channels. Good washing line.

To be clear, the Booking.com profile is misleading. There are 2 apartments, a small one which we rented (sleeps 4) and a bigger house out back. The pool is shared between the 2 apartments. It says there’s a private bedroom, if you are in the small apartment this isn’t true, it’s a STUDIO. The kitchen is not great, felt dirty, the freezer needed defrosting as there’s no door on it. There is a problem with ants in the bathroom. The bathroom sink is not good (see photo) the shower was blocked and the shower curtain too short. We were booked in for 5 days, the communication was great before we arrived. The host told us that the other apartment was booked for our first night and empty after that. He said he’d let us know if anyone else was arriving out of respect. The cleaners arrived on our penultimate day to clean the other apartment, I asked if anyone was arriving and she said no. Glad we saw her as we were about to run out of toilet rolls and no spare bin bags to empty the toilet bin or the kitchen bin. The next day we got home and the big apartment was occupied by a family playing music at the pool, alcohol everywhere and kids jumping in and out of the pool splashing everywhere, including us. They left all their empty cans all over the pool and that’s what we woke up to the next day, so it’s just pot luck who you get. Luckily they were not out there all evening. We just counted ourselves lucky that we’d had 3 days to ourselves. For what we paid we were pleased, but the lack of warning of an arrival annoyed us. This place won’t be for everyone, it was like living in a hostel room. There were 4 chairs by the pool, 2 were broken. 4 loungers, 1 was broken. Tiles smashed on the paths, dangerous for kids. There are loads of CCTV camera’s which are a bit unnerving, especially when you are in swimwear. I get that the property may need protecting, but it felt like we were being constantly watched.
