Views, nice shower, parking accessible.
We had booked a weekend away to get away from noise, however noisy neighbours above, no sound proofing so constantly heard others guests and dog walking above, noise didn’t stop until 2.30am…..lighting in room wasn’t relaxing, it didn’t feel cosy or warm with office style furniture, rather than the appeal of cosy cottage. There was 4 fragrance plug ins for a tiny space it was nauseating the strong scent which we unplugged, it was off putting as we didn’t know why there was so many in there. Maybe the other rooms are better. The locations lovely but left us disappointed as the room felt mismatched to what it was advertised.
I didn’t want to leave a negative review but we have heard nothing from hosts or even a courtesy thank you for your stay.
We did knock but nobody answered.
We had no phone signal to call them and it wouldn’t ring out what little signal we could pick up.
Internets hit and miss. We left key in the door as there was no letterbox to post key for security.

Nothing to dislike but would kindly suggest the cottage garden be trimmed a little so dogs aren’t eating leaves and foliage that they shouldn’t be

I have just returned home from a great weekend away in North Wales and I Stayed at the fantastic Curlews Nest Holiday Cottage,
The host Tom and his Family were amazing from the time I booked and paid for the stay to the arrival and information and also while I was there.
The holiday cottage is perfect to relax and unwind with a small garden with a great log burner outside to enjoy in the evenings and its in well kept grounds with the wildlife of birds and squirials and other wildlife around.
The holiday cottage Curlews Nest was perfect place to relax and unwind and chill , with a clean and tidy place with a couch and small kitchen self contained with dish washer and fridge and microwave etc, also nice size TV in lounge and bedroom and also nice soft bed linen and towels, The host also put A pint of milk in thr fridge and Welsh Cakes and butter for when I arrived after a long drive which I thought was a nice touch, also there was all the cleaning bits and extras that you need for a great stay. There is Wifi in the cottage as well, and streaming services on the TV, I was so impressed with everything, even the shower was impressive with rain shower and side water as well and also comfy bed for a great nights sleep, I was impressed and I will be returning and I would recommend this Cottage to any adult singles or couples, as its also Adult only on site so you have time to relax and enjoy, Thank you Tom and family for a great stay and Will see you again in the future, Thank you, also Dont for get book now its a lovely location !!

This was a last-minute booking for me and my mum. We wanted Ruthin in particular, and this was perfect for us. We drove to Chester (40 mins) and had breakfast at Woodcrafts Garden Centre in Mold, too. Snowdrops were everywhere, which was stunning. Very comfortable. Warm welcome, and the accommodation was well stocked in the kitchen. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

We have stayed at several of the mill cottages with our border collie and we have always had a fabulous stay. All the cottages are very clean, warm and comfortable and have everything you need including a lovely outdoor seating area to take in the wonderful views!
The grounds have a large field where you can walk the dog. The hosts Steve, Ffion and Tom are very friendly and helpful and are always on hand if you need anything, we will definitely be going back!

The decor was lovely - modern and tasteful and lots of little touches that made it special. The location was very good with a dog as there was a meadow where she could run free. It was also very quiet. I loved the bathroom, particularly the spacious shower and heated towel rail. Everything you could have wanted (and more) was provided and it was a lovely touch to be given fresh milk and welsh cakes. We didn't use our little outdoor seating area or the booths at the top of the bank but in warmer conditions we might have, and it was a nice option to have. Everything had been well thought out.
There was nothing within walking distance e.g. you had to drive to get a meal. The insulation between the upper apartment and ours was not great and the water heater was noisy and fired up everytime you turned on a hot water tap. The bathroom tap was very stylish and interesting but not very practical - difficult to turn on and if you turned it on more than a tiny amount, it sprayed water everywhere as the basin was too small for the water pressure. An outside light would have been useful.

We were given a warm welcome with advice about how to get into Ruthin and about a local pub in Llanbedr DC.
Great cosy apartment with comfy beds and all the facilities we needed.
Lovely little garden area which was perfect for sitting with a coffee and looking out over the hills.

The outdoor areas were a bonus and the views of the mountains were lovely.
The location - a very quiet and relaxing spot, but within walking distance of Ruthin castle, which was a great place to visit.
It would have been nice to have a blind in the kitchen as it felt a bit overlooked at night, being opposite the main house.
I managed to gauge a bit of flesh out of the back of one of my legs when sitting on one of the loungers from the end of one of the bolts which was sticking out.

The views from the property are fantastic, the area at the top of the gardens was really tranquil and being able to sit in-front the fire watching the sunset made it something a little extra.
There was quite a bit of dust throughout the property, especially on the plates in the cupboards and behind the furniture in the bedroom.

Beautiful cottage in stunning countryside.
Host very friendly and informative. Cottage facilities have everything you require for a self catering holiday.Dog friendly and our dog loved his stay here, there are fields to the back of the property where he loved running around. Accessible to numerous landmarks. Viewing huts on site with fairy lights and fires to enjoy outdoor meals and drinks, looking out to beautiful rolling hills Would definitely recommend.

Clean accommodation, and outdoor area. Nice view, easy to find. All you would need for the holiday. Could do with booklet for any instruction’s and to leave a review, maybe some leaflets of thing’s and places to see, and places to eat. Other than this it was excellent, and would recommend to anyone. Kevin
