The Cottonwood Cottage - Farmhouse Charm and Comfort.

House was perfect and evening went smoothly.

It was a very nice place to stay. We especially like that there was a lot of space for people to congregate either on the kitchen/dining space, the living room or the backyard.

We enjoyed this location. We were able to relax and be together. It was a great location for our plans. The house is adorably decorated also.

The home is adequate for a stay, but it shows some signs of neglect. The screen on the front storm door is ripped open, and it swings freely. It doesn't create a good first impression.Apparently there was paneling overlaid onto the original walls, and the cutouts around the outlets are too small. This makes several of the power outlets inaccessible.The switch on the reading lamp in one of the ground floor bedrooms would not stay in the ON position.The dishwasher needs to be serviced and possibly replaced. We ran the same batch of dishes for a second cycle because they were still dirty after the first cycle (I don't how they fared after the second cycle - we had to check out).The chairs in the outside sitting area were child-sized and well past their prime. They need to be replaced with legitimate camp chairs suitable for adults. The door leading to the backyard needs to be weather-stripped. You can see light coming through its edges; this could allow cold air to seep in and warm air to leak out during cold weather.Overall this home gave me the impression of a property that was inherited and then used as a source of income, but with minimal investment in it. With a little care, it could be a very nice place to stay for those wanting to explore the San Rafael Swell. In its current state, it almost feels like the owner is trying to provide the minimum while getting the maximum in return. This doesn't lead to a positive conclusion.
