About this house rental

CREEPER TRAIL. PRIVATE. REMOTE. PICTURESQUE. PEACEFUL. NATURE. All of these things, and more, are what you’ll get by visiting Three States Lodge. A smaller group, or family/friend reunion, it can fit your needs. You’ll be 1/2 mile short of the three state marker (Virginia, Tennessee and North Carolina), 4 miles from the head of The Creeper Trail, and a scenic 25 minutes from Grayson Highlands State Park. Damascus is 30 minutes, with West Jefferson, NC 35 minutes. Wildlife is bound to be seen.

Nice sized lodge for family gathering. Plenty of room, great sitting area on front porch. Nicely planted flower beds around lodge, attracted hummingbirds and butterflies. Only the most basic amenities provided. I definitely would recommend using a 4-wheel drive to access the property. Any vehicle low to the ground could bottom out.

It's a nice house, located a 10-15 minute drive from the small town of Whitetop. The gravel road might test your nerves at first, but you'll get used to it after a few times. Like most VRBOs, the equipment is sorta second-hand. For instance, we couldn't find a big pot for our jambalaya. We enjoyed our stay, and were happy that we could get the house at the last minute.
