Les deux magnolias

Very beautiful garden, quiet location and comfortable kitchen. The large windows allow for a lot of natural light and for air to come inside the home. The area surrounding the house is beautiful for an afternoon walk. The property has a lot of space and that makes it comfortable.

A big drawback was the lack of nets in the windows, our first night turned out to be very uncomfortable as a lot of mosquitoes came inside, added to the fact that there were no fans in the house making it also warm. The first time we walked in there was a smell of humidty, fortunately that was solved after venting the house with opening the windows.

Loved the location. Close to Gensac and Saint Emilion. Great running through the vineyards and was quiet. The house was well equipped with utensils and everything was left very clean. It was also quite spacious inside.

The bathroom had a bit of sewerage smell to it. We did leave the window open which helped. Pillows were ok.

Het huisje ligt verscholen achter 2 gigantische magnolia’s in een heel rustig stukje tussen de wijnvelden. Leuk om te zien dat er wat oude elementen behouden zijn, heeft verder hier en daar nog wat tlc nodig. De keuken is compleet en van alle gemakken voorzien en de wasmachine is erg fijn. De sleutel van het huisje ligt in een sleutelkastje op je te wachten. Opzich erg gemakkelijk omdat je zelf je aankomsttijd kan bepalen, maar het voelt wel erg onpersoonlijk. Wij hadden het leuker gevonden iemand even te spreken en wellicht wat meer achtergrondinformatie van het huisje te horen bijvoorbeeld.

De muggen, even het raam opzetten om te luchten (wat wel nodig was ivm rioollucht in de badkamer) was eigenlijk niet mogelijk. En ondanks daarna steeds de ramen dicht gehouden te hebben bleven we veel last houden van de muggen. Eventueel een klamboe aanbieden voor de volgende gasten zou wellicht kunnen helpen?
