Podere Maiano - Private pool villa with spa

The accommodations are remarkably expansive, blending traditional rustic charm with modern comfort. Every bedroom is impeccably designed with high-end furnishings, plush bedding, and immaculate en-suite bathrooms, ensuring privacy and ultimate relaxation for everyone in our group. It was a minor inconvenience that you must go outside from the main floor to access the upstairs bedrooms and kitchen. The main kitchen on the first floor is well stocked, has a very nice range and a cooktop with a built-in oven, and a great meat slicer. We didn’t have many opportunities to use the Billard room, which was very large, and also contained the hot tub and sauna. The outdoor space is very nice. The sparkling private pool is well-maintained and surrounded by comfortable loungers. Whether taking a refreshing morning swim or lounging under the covered patio in the evening, the panoramic views of the rolling hills made every moment special. There also is a giant outdoor, wood fired, pizza oven near the patio.Situated just a short drive from the charming town of Buonconvento, the villa offers a tranquil, private sanctuary without feeling isolated. It served as the perfect base for exploring world-renowned vineyards and taking day trips to Siena, Montalcino, Pienza, and other historic gems. A car is a must but the convenient train station in Buonconvento is perfect for more distant exploring. Don’t miss the fine dining opportunities in Montalcino. Boccon Divino and Ristorante Saloni are among the best. The staff, particularly Daniela, was warm, attentive, and proactive in handling our every need with a smile, making us feel completely at home. She arrived every morning, cleaned the kitchen, washed the wine glasses, and generally organized the house. The owner, Pietro, is very knowledgeable, helpful, and is very willing to give dining recommendations and make reservations.

Would love to have the hot tub on the covered patio!
