About this house rental
This gorgeous house is perfect for a single or multi-family vacation, girls trip, or week-long getaway with some friends. The house features a full kitchen, spacious living room, and a screened in front porch overlooking Main Street. This sweet and quiet location is just a 15 minute walk into town, or a 10 minute drive to beautiful hiking trails and scenic attractions.

Great place for 6 adults. Both showers were upstairs which was fine for us, but might be a problem for some folks. It did get warm upstairs but we were there during an unusually hot week. They provided plenty of fans!

The location was ideal for our family trip to Acadia and the house was appropriately supplied with everyday necessities including kitchen items. The only complaint was the lack of curtains in the bedrooms. The sun rose at 5am which made the bedroom very bright and hard to sleep. Other than that I would recommend this place for future stays.

Path to the cottage is not good for anyone that is disabled in anyway. A motion light would be a great addition as we came back after dark most nights. I did not realize it was on a busy road, had the image that it was on the water through the trees.

We enjoyed our stay at chickadee‘s nest.it could use some updating. The listing doesn’t mention that it’s on a noisy road and there’s no view but it is a nice area in general. The beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were very adequate. There’s no AC so the upstairs area gets quite hot when it’s warm outside, but overall, we really enjoyed our time there.
