About this house rental
Indulge in the comfort and tranquility of this private, secluded lake home on 20 acres in beautiful South Dakota! The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, utensils, all appliances including a wine fridge. There is a breakfast bar with seating for 4 people as well as a dining room table with seating for 6. The space features an open-concept layout including a wall of windows overlooking the lake with a floor to ceiling rock fireplace (gas). Have a glass of wine while enjoying Netflix or Amazon Prime on the 70” television. There are three different doors to get to the covered, wraparound deck. It is filled with patio furniture to enjoy those colorful, one-of-a-kind sunsets. A gas grill is also provided for guest use. There is a main floor bathroom as well as a bedroom with two queen beds (One of the beds is a Sleep Number like bed w/ adjustable base.) The second floor includes a full bathroom and two additional bedrooms. The first upstairs bedroom has two queen beds, and the second upstairs "family" bedroom includes one king bed, one queen bed, one full bunkbed set including a twin trundle. The family room also has a nice, little breakfast nook that has a view overlooking the lake. Both upstairs bedrooms have televisions as well. One bedroom has an Amazon Firestick and the other has a smart TV with built-in Roku. All the bedrooms, as well as the dining room and living room, have ceiling fans. The entire house also has central A/C. Provided are family board games, card games, and puzzles for rainy or snowy days. There is access to the lake from the property for swimming, sunbathing, or fishing. There is also a boat ramp within 1.5 miles away if you choose to bring your boat. This property is centered in an area of good fishing on Lake Oahe. This truly is a private, hidden gem with rolling hills and beautiful prairies. This is a family vacation you will never forget! If you have any problems or concerns, the owner lives in a private basement apartment with separate garage entrance and can be texted or called at any time.

Great location, beautiful view, house is well stocked incase forgetting little items! Washer and dryer available - which was so helpful!

We had a great time at this property. The rural location was much appreciated by our group. We all enjoyed the peaceful, quiet setting and the views from the living room windows were spectacular. The house had everything we needed to cook our own meals and all appliances worked as they should. The washer, dryer, and dishwasher made clean-up easy and helped to cut down on the amount of clothing to pack. The road to the property is gravel, but it is well maintained and we had no issues getting to and from the property.
It is a good distance from town. We knew this coming in, so purchased groceries and supplies before checking in.
The homeowner was easy to contact and answered any questions we had promptly. My only complaint is that is too far from home to allow us to visit as often as we would like!

Josh is a great host, was super accommodating for our needs. Loved the property, the view of the lake is second to none! We would love to rent again. Highly recommend this property for a vacation.
