Very clean and comfy and very well equipped.
I’m afraid I agree with the other reviews about the shower

The location was really good, close to the beach and the village.

Had a fantastic mini break here at Grove Cottage, the house was spotless, plenty of room, great fully equipped kitchen, with a lovely welcome gift from the hosts. Louise responded to my messages really quickly and the village had everything we needed for our weekend break. There was a fabulous park a 3 minute walk from the property which was perfect to walk the dog - the bed was so comfortable and the linen perfect
The board games too were an added bonus!! x
Nothing to add here, great value for money and a super stay

Grove Cottage- 10/10
We had a fantastic stay at The Grove Cottage and would happily rate it 10/10 for location, comfort, and facilities.
The cottage was incredibly well thought out – everything we needed was provided, making it really easy to settle in. The welcome basket was such a kind touch, and the fresh towels and thoughtful extras made it feel like a true home-from-home. We especially appreciated the kids toys and books.
The kids also enjoyed the little courtyard – a safe and cosy space to play. The whole cottage worked perfectly for our family.
Don’t let the lack of on-site parking comments put you off. We parked in front of on cottage or very near.
The location is great – you can visit many beaches, see seals and explore rock pools and visit the lovely manner house, mini zoo and gardens at Sewerby Hall.
If you are travelling from West Yorkshire or Lancashire, avoid the a64 and travel through Howden instead, it adds around 7 more miles but saves you at least an hour on your travel time with traffic near York and Malton.
Communication from the host was excellent throughout – clear, friendly, and helpful.
All in all, a perfect, family-friendly cottage in a brilliant location. We’d definitely love to return!

Grove Cottage is a proper home from home. It is spacious, comfortable, and really well equipped.
The only negative for us was the size of the shower. Pressure wise etc. it’s fab, just could be a bit bigger, especially considering the size of the bathroom, there’s plenty room.

Perfect location; near to the village & also the cliffs

Great welcome box & loadsa groceries in cupboards .Location great for a stroll to the beach & cliff walks Everything you could want .
Only one minor problem - lots of flies - assuming that's a problem in the location in general at this time of year maybe

Great location and we especially enjoyed being able to walk to the coast straight from the door. The house is comfortable and well equipped and we appreciated the basket of treats left for us .
The shower is rather small and awkward to use but this is a small thing and did not spoil our overall enjoyment.

Location great, on street parking was a bit tricky, but able to park within a few minutes' walk. Property is well furnished and comfortable with all the basic stuff provided which was great. Easy walking distance to the village and a good restaurant, local Co-op and a couple of pubs (not visited). Easy to get to the coast either walking or a few minutes by car, and very close to Bempton Cliffs which is well worth a visit in season.
The shower is a bit snug, but the water was hot and plentiful and its a great shower other than the size.

The home is lovely and offered us plenty of space for the family. Everything we needed was provided and a very lovely welcome pack was left for us. The location is very good for exploring the coast line. We found it easy to park our car. A well stocked Co-op is close by for any grocery shopping you may need.
The owner may not be aware of a loose dormer roof tile but it was very windy one night and caused a noise in that bedroom. My son did a temporary fix with some gaffer tape we purchased. We found the toilet flush a little challenging did not always work. Also and really sorry to say as the home is lovely but some thorough cleaning of the kitchen units is needed.

This is a lovely property and an ideal location to explore the area. If you are thinking of visiting Yorkshire don’t hesitate as it’s beautiful at this location and the house is ideal for a family
There is a short supply of convenience shops and take aways.

Lovely house, clean and well looked after with good amenities. Location is also great for Flamborough and Bridlington and other local attractions such as Sewerby Hall.

Amazingly well presented property, with a lovely welcome package of wine, crisps & chocolates, beautifully tidy, everything comfy, well stocked kitchen and loads of games under the stairs, and easy communication with the hosts - couldn't have been better.
Strong air-freshener smell out the back wasn't to our liking, but that's being really picky.

The location was perfect for the village and the coast. Lovely house, very quiet, parking outside the property. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy bed and pillows.
Although the shower was powerful and the water hot, it was difficult for a larger person. Although this would not put us off staying there again. Everything else was perfect.

Very comfortable seating and beds. Very clean and well furnished. Heating was excellent.
This is not a criticism. It would benefit from an extra toilet. The downstairs under stair cloakroom might be suitable. I think if a large family were staying there it would be very usefull.

Spotlessly clean, lovely welcome gifts, location was quiet but easy access for amenities such as local pubs serving food, two excellent chip shops and access to a huge range of "things to do". We visited the cliffs, saw seals, Bondville, walked the full length of Bridlington North and South beaches... then returned to a cosy, comfortable house. Could not recommend the place highly enough. Clear directions and communication.
Nothing. We had a fabulous stay.

Location was great for beach & village , quite a few pubs for a small place. House was clean , comfortable & welcoming it smelt lovely throughout plenty of washing facilities if you needed them & well equipped kitchen if you wanted to cook , Thoughtful welcome basket to get your stay off to a nice start , would work for couple or a family .
The key box was a little tricky to open ! As we were lucky enough to have great weather the main bedroom was very light , maybe some curtains to shade the sun

Nothing much, walked into a leak in the kitchen and there were a lot of bugs inside the property.
No bath, shower door would not shut properly. Bed bugs

Lovely cottage in a good location on the edge of the village for the beaches and walks on Flamborough Head. Beautiful beaches, coastal walks and plenty of wildlife to watch.
The village had a convenience store and a choice of pubs/restaurants, so there was no need to go far during our stay. This made it a very relaxing break.

Very well presented house with so many facilities and opportunities for a great family break. We were just a couple and it suited our needs but the accommodation and supplied games etc would suit a family.
proximity to the stunning Bempton Cliffs was the reason for choosing this location.
parking in road a bit luck of the draw but always found somewhere.

Very well equipped cottage with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. With only a 5 minute walk into town and a 10 minute walk to the beach the location was excellent.
We were greeted with a lovely welcome hamper which was a nice touch, the small outside space at the rear of the property was ideal for our 4 legged friend who enjoyed the stay as much as we did.

Everything absolutely perfect
Parking says free parking but it’s on the street outside a lot of the time you can’t get parked and have to park streets away

Location was perfect for what we wanted to do. It was in walking distance for lovely beaches, super coves to explore from coastal footpaths, lighthouse near with a fabulous food restaurant, pubs, a handful of shops. We watched seals in the sea at the lighthouse.
Parking was on the main road outside the property and was sometimes difficult to find a parking spot.
