Pollokshields was Glasgow’s first garden suburb and still retains that old Victorian charm relating back to its history when it served the rich Victorian merchants who established the City of Glasgow. It is sometimes hard to believe, as you stroll along the tree lined avenues with their grand architecture, that you are only 5 mins from the bustling City Centre and just 2/3 mins to the M8/M77/M74 Motorways which means that it is easy head off in any direction. Dumbreck Train Station on the Paisley Canal Line is a 2 minute walk away and a short 5 minute hop will take you straight into the centre of Glasgow. Local buses are also nearby. The exclusive, up-market Sherbrooke Castle Hotel is closeby and the Bar and Restaurant are open to non-residents with a small local convenience store nearby.
